Its very special in the sense that when most old houses are torn apart to build new wall to wall carpeted plush granite kitchens this old house breathes times gone by When we purchased it 5 or 6 years ago and moved in I was reminded of the old black and white film The Ghost and Mrs Murre. We do not have air conditioning usually the breeze from the ocean is plenty we offer fans in all rooms if needed .Outdoors is a large wrap around porch walking down a grass path that leads to beautiful ocean bathing if interested it is possible to have a mooring. Why kim laurie owner chose Jamestown (Conanicut Island)
It is enchanting and very true to the period it was built in. With all the new homes going up everywhere we feel very very lucky to live in this charming house walking down to the ocean , watching yachts sail by comming into a safe harbor from all corners of the world..Seals bathing in the sun, fresh bass swimming in clean ocean water...I could go on..
