About Ian Gillespie
Currently the property is owned by Janet (Ithaca), Tom (NC) and Ian Gillespie (CO). Each of us grew up in Ithaca and have that unique tie to the area. Our father taught at Cornell for 40 years. Here we are in the cabin pre-renovation - circa 2010.
Ian Gillespie purchased this cabin in 1965
Why Ian Gillespie chose Lansing
Our parents purchased the modest cottage in 1965. In 2011, to honor their memory and the good times we've had here, we decided to renovate and upgrade the facility into it's present condition. We hope you will come visit and enjoy it as much as we have.
What makes this cabin unique
160 feet of lake front make this property unique. Enjoy sweeping views of the lake from inside the cabin. When you're not on the lake there's never a shortage of things to do here! Take a weekend trip to the amazing Ithaca Farmers Market. Hike at Buttermilk Falls, Robert Treman and Taughannock Falls State Parks. Check out Cornell University and Cornell Plantations. Birders will want to visit Sapsucker Woods and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Art lovers unite at the Johnson Museum of Art. Visit at least one of the 15 wineries, one cidery, one meadery, and four distilleries along the first organized, longest running Cayuga Lake Wine Trail. Or just relax on 160 feet of lakefront.
