Really enjoyed our stay over the holidays at this comfy little place! The location made us feel like we were in the country, so it was very relaxing, but it's actually not far from restaurants, shopping and cinema so it was like the best of both worlds. We stayed over the holidays, and had a great time, and the owner was helpful and readily available via email/text whenever we had questions about the area. I would recommend this as a getaway for my friends and family, anytime!
What a great place to stay. Very clean and neat! The location is perfect 20 minutes to Corinth and 20 minutes to iuka or savannah. The property is gated and secure. A great place to spend christmas and I believe we will make this a yearly trip. The Internet is not very promising, weak signal from the router and not very fast. Bring cookware as the pots and pans are pretty old but basically what I would expect in a rent house. All in all, great place.
This place was really nice and clean. The decor was upscale while not being suffocating. Loved having the back alcove for the boys to sleep in. We had a couple of issues--there were only a handful of bath towels and not enough to certainly take care of six people. We ended up going out and buying towels. Half of the bath towels there were so small they could be considered hand towels. We ended up buying some more dish towels too as there were only a couple that were usable. Also, there was only one TV. I reminded everyone that we were there to be on vacation and out using the boat. But it would have been nice to have a TV in each bedroom for the evenings. Overall, we were thoroughly pleased with the accommodations and the owner bent over backwards to help us find a place to put our boat and jet ski. The kitchen was certainly well equipped for entertaining. Would certainly consider using this house again.
We are a group of 5 friends from college, all moms now, who just wanted to get away for a weekend together. This home and community fit the bill perfectly. The house has all the amenities you need. It is comfortable and the process was extremely simple. The home is located within an easy walking distance to one of the community's three pools. We spent our mornings drinking coffee on the patio, the day at the pool, and the evenings either at a nearby restaurant or enjoying groceries we brought with us. The only downside to this place is no wifi - which I understand in a vacation home. The neighbors are also extremely nice and even let us use one of their parking spots.
The house is very charming, comfortable and modern. We were very happy with amenities like the coffee maker, dishwasher, clothes washer and drier gas grill. It would have been nice to have wifi - and a 2nd television in the house - but we kept busy enough to go without (and probably had a better vacation as a result). The listing description was very accurate and the property is exceptionally maintained. The refrigerator is cleaned out so take EVERYTHING you will need for meals (salt, petter, ketchup, etc.). Don't forget to bring coffee - we did :>(
The neighbors are welcoming and easy to get to know. Many of them are permanent and freely offer to help you during your stay. They really do make you feel welcome. Renting a boat at the marina is easy and the boats are in good shape. We had fun exploring the area - some fantastic golf courses (Dunn at the Damn and Shiloh Falls). You can walk right on without a tee time and the rounds are very affordable so if you golf, you really found the right place!
The cabin was a perfect fit for our family! It was cozy and spacious. Beautiful location and very close to marina, Pickwick Dam and state park. We really enjoyed sitting on the front porch.
We would definitely stay here again.
Pickwick Lake is the most popular attraction in the area. Also, area offers many excellent golf courses and civil war historical areas, including Shiloh National Park.
