Situated in the fishing village of Santa Luzia in the Natural Park of Ria Formosa. This village retains the charm of local traditions and there is in August the procession in honor of Santa Luzia and blessing the boats of fishermen. From here you can reach the extended sandy beaches, included in the Lonely Planet Guide 2009 as the ten best beaches in the world, to travel with children. In the Natural Park you can watch the typical birds of the Ria Formosa, hiking, boating and watching the breathtaking sunsets. In the restaurants you can taste the local Portuguese food and wines. At 2 km is the city of Tavira, you can visit its ancient monuments, not forgetting the municipal market where you can buy fresh fish and vegetables and see nearby the artisanal salt production exported all over the world. Tavira has an health center, supermarkets, a municipal library, pharmacies etc.Some golf courses can be reached from here like the Monte Rei Golf Club with Jack Nicklaus signature.
