Born in Colorado, I moved to Falmouth when I was twenty-one, to help my father raise my two younger sisters. I fell in love with the town and the wonderfully different seasons that Falmouth has to offer, that I've been here ever since. I live right across the street from my rental property with my husband and two kids, one of whom is in her third year of college at St. Lawrence and the other who is graduating from Milton Academy this year and hoping to go to school somewhere in the Boston area. My husband owns a restaurant in Woods Hole, called the Captain Kidd which looks out over Eel Pond. We love living in Falmouth Heights because of its close proximity to the center of town, the beach and the ferry to Martha's Vineyard.
Kay Murray purchased this cottage in 1981
My husband started coming to the Heights during the summers when he was in College. It was a huge college-party area with a big night life for people in their early twenties. He saw the value in this property and knew that the Heights was an up-and-coming area which is why he decided to purchase this house and also the one that we live in. Thankfully, his intuition was correct and we are now lucky enough to live in a great area with lots of other families. While the night-life has obviously died down, there is a lot to do including restaurants and bars within a short distance from the property.
