We are three sisters that now own the house jointly after inheriting it. This was our family home with lots of great memories. One sister, Karin, is a local resident who resides in the house parts of the year. She stays in the small cabin on property during rental season, over 100ft away making it convenient for guest to reach her with any concerns, yet respectfully giving her guests as much privacy as possible. Her assistant is also 3 miles away.
The south end of the lake is has minimal activity and has the best view of beautiful sunsets. It is conveniently located close to Interlochen and Traverse City. Neighbors are very nice.
We don't hire property managers and live elsewhere. We are owners who have lived here many years and take pride in the property. We know details about the house and the the area. Over the years there have been many guests here and we love sharing the experience of Long Lake and this area with others. With this in mind, the decision to offer it as a vacation rental is the perfect solution to afford keeping it in our family for generations and share it with new friends. We want to provide a vacation to our guests as though they are guests of our own. (We can tell you where and when to find a secluded spot on a stretch of Lake Michigan beach) This is only our second season so we welcome any comments you have!
