Nestled alongside the Gulf of Mexico, this home called 'Sea La Vie', located in the Summer Camp Beach resort property, beckons you with soft white sand, nature trails and privacy not often found in today's busy world. With nearly four miles of Gulf beach shoreline surrounded by 762 acres of woods with towering pines, twisting oaks and fan-like palmettos, this community is a celebration of nature, offering an inspirational refuge to enjoy the great outdoors. The area boasts some of the best fishing in Florida. From flats, bay, surf, or offshore fishing, we've got the angler in your family covered.

Your personal 3 bedroom, 2 bath beachside home will have you relaxing by sunset. This home features a King Bed in the master suite, a queen in the second bedroom, and a bunk bed with a trundle to provide comfortable sleeping for 7. Your private ocean view home provides all the amenities of what you expect in a coastal escape. Granite countertops, hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances and wood covered walls will make you feel right at home. A brand new screen porch in the back lets you take advantage of the amazing gulf view.

Summer Camp Beach resort provides opportunities to fish, boat, kayak, hike, all while being nestled amongst the tall pines in an area of Florida that is still completely unspoiled. Vacationing at Sumer Camp Beach allows you ample time to create wonderful family memories without sacrificing comfort. The resort property has a beautiful swimming pool for you to enjoy at your leisure, complete with locker facilities and a changing room. Walk down to the Kayak Shack where kayaks and canoes await free of charge for residents and guests. Climb aboard your kayak and paddle your way closer to nature than you ever thought possible. Smell the salt in the air, feel the warm water on your skin as you glide through the clear, shallow protected waters of the gulf, viewing sea life hands on!

At the end of the day, you may feel inclined to walk along the boardwalk in a coastal preserve to witness amazing sunsets, while preparing for dinner at our onsite restaurant, The Seineyard.

The St. James Bay golf course is a short 10 minute drive, where you can enjoy championship conditions. Apalachicola is only 45 minutes away, and is famous for some of the best oysters in the country, and provides a wonderful opportunity to enjoy old Florida.

If you are tired of crowds and want a more relaxing, peaceful vacation, you will absolutely love 'Sea La Vie' here at Summer Camp Beach. The Forgotten Coast awaits you!

Spring Break at Sea la Vie

Summer Camp Beach...the title might bring back youthful memories of potato sack races, capture the flag, and catching fireflies in a jar (as their logo suggests). You might picture cabins of the glorified screen porch variety filled with institutional metal bunks...but this is an entirely different kind of retreat. Our family of six, including four kids ages 4-9, rented the 'Sea la Vie' for a Spring Break vacation from the cold and snow of Wisconsin and the home was outstanding. Although listed in the property description, we were blown away by the granite countertops, hardwood floors, 8 ft. doors, and designer linens.

Sea la Vie has everything you need for a week at the beach, just bring your towel and sunscreen! We were pleasantly surprised to find a beach cart, chairs, sand toys, umbrellas, and coolers available for our use. Our kids took turns sleeping in either the bunk beds or the queen bed in the extra bedrooms while my husband and I enjoyed the luxury of the king-sized bed in the Master. I highly recommend drinking your morning coffee on the back porch while listening to the birds chirp and looking out on the ocean just steps away.

We really enjoyed having the beaches almost entirely to ourselves, we only saw one other family during one part of one day. And, we never had to share the pool at all! The beachcombing was excellent: we found fossils, sea glass, coral, horseshoe crabs, pottery, and lots of shells. There are dozens of sand bars that are fun to explore, especially during low tide. Just watch out for the jellyfish! We checked out one of the free kayaks and everyone took turns tooling around the shallow waters near the fishing pier. My husband and our 9 yr. old son caught several different kinds of fish onsite: redfish, sea trout, flounder, catfish, a sting ray and even a small shark! Erika, the property manager, was extremely welcoming and helpful with any questions we had throughout our stay.

There are plenty of places to go offsite as well. We liked Wakulla Springs State Park (saw gators, a manatee, and lots of birds), the Gulf Specimen Marine Lab (aquarium), and St. George Island (climbed up in the lighthouse).

If you're looking for a getaway that is off-the-beaten-path and non-touristy then Summer Camp Beach is the place to go. Sure, the setting of Summer Camp Beach is woodsy but the home and the community amenities are all top notch. By the second day of our stay, we were already talking about going back!

Sister reunion

Three sisters and spouses spent a long weekend at Sea La Vie and had a totally awesome time together! The house was very clean and extremely well equipped; we had everything we needed to cook and eat together while enjoying the lovely design and beautiful decorated touches. The listing photos were accurate, and we were not disappointed! We enjoyed taking morning walks in the quiet, peaceful community; the cool temperatures kept us from taking advantage of the swimming pool and kayaks. The screened in porch and patio were just lovely areas to relax over meals or coffee. We could not have found a nicer house and location - it was perfect!
We enjoyed Wakulla State Park and the boat ride to view alligators and manatees. St. George's Island State Park was beautiful, and we saw dolphins swim by - cool!
We only got to eat once at the Seineyard; we had a great lunch there.
If we ever vacation in the Gulf shores area again, Sea La Vie will be where we will want to be!

Pleasant Surprise

We were two married couples that sought a reasonable accommodation outside of Tallahassee during the very busy parents weekend at FSU. Speaking for just me and my wife, we were also interested in exploring that part of the Gulf Coast as we live in south Florida. "Sea La Vie" did not disappoint with comfortable beds, 3 large screen TV's, a great quiet central air conditioning system, well equipped kitchen, an outdoor grill, peaceful development, and several sightseeing locations within walking distance or a short drive. A large pool with a view of the gulf was a 3 minute walk away. The Seineyard restaurant is beside the pool with decent reasonably priced food including fresh oysters. The restaurant staff were friendly and seemed genuinely happy that you were their guests. Ask for Linda. Another plus for me was that development manager, Erika is usually available onsite and helpful with any needs you may have. For a real treat, take a walk along the boardwalk at Turkey Point and scoot over a small dune at the end to enjoy a beautiful and virtually uninhabited beach. In summary, Sea La Vie is a clean well built and nicely appointed home that was miles above in value compared to anything we could have found in Tallahassee that weekend. We look forward to a return visit.

This was our second stay at SummerCamp, but our first in "Sea la Vie", and as with our stay last year, we certainly were not disappointed. The property was immaculate, exactly as advertised, and the furnishings were very comfortable. As well, the amenities at the development are really top notch; we love the pool and clubhouse. Plus, everyone we spoke to was extremely friendly and helpful. This is the place to go if you want to enjoy the peacefulness of nature, and to get away from it all...And then there's the area's seafood restaurants, which are the BEST!

This was the perfect house for us on our vacation. The only thing that would have made it better was if it was right on the beach. It was decorated really nice and it was clean. The house was located in a very peaceful setting. We went kayaking and visited the pool. We didnt care for the natural beach to swim, but we found a great beach on St. George island. If you are looking to relax and you dont mind a coastal drive to a beach better suited for swimming this is the place to stay.
