Our recent stay in San Diego proved to be a winner with the first time use of a vacation rental in Point Loma. We found this complex to be in the perfect location for everything we wanted to do. We could walk to so many restaurants and loved walking along the bay at night or taking the little path to Kellogg beach in the morning. It is also very close to downtown San Diego and made it easy to make last minute plans for events or entertainment.
The condo is bright and comfortable with truly nice furniture. We loved the complex and used the fitness room, played pool and even watched TV in their TV room. If we had more time I would have enjoyed the library. We are definitely coming back to the Yacht Club Guest House. I highly recommend this condo.
We love boating, fishing and family. We chose to have a home in Point Loma because this is an outstanding San Diego location. We are close to downtown and can quickly and easily go to the theater, great restaurants and major events whenever we want. The Point Loma area is very attractive as a quieter and almost hidden escape while still in the middle of the action. We have found so many wonderful restaurants right here within walking distance of the condo and of course we love to stroll along the bay. We can become tourists just by walking out the door. This area is a perfect place for family to great and join us in our favorite activities.
The location is amazing and offers the best possible version of the San Diego lifestyle.
This building is fairly new and so well designed. We knew the moment we walked inside, we had found what we were looking for. We use the heated pool, the exercise room and the little library a lot. When family comes over we use the pool table and have had gatherings around the large screen TV room. This is an elegant place to live.
This is a walking neighborhood, near the Bay and everything that interests us. We love to go downtown and really love how close and easy it is to get there. We walk to so many wonderful restaurants, eclectic shops and entertainment venues. Everything we need is convenient from this location. We have watch the sun rise over the city across the bay and watched it set over Point Loma as the city turns to twilight with red and pink hues.

You will find Point Loma, Harbor Island and Shelter Island about 6 miles just West of downtown San Diego
This area feature picturesque marinas from which sport fishing excursions, whale watching tours and harbor cruises depart. A peninsula jutting into the sea, it's easy to think of Point Loma as a dead end - 'land's end' in fact. But, as the site where San Diego was discovered in the first place, it seems more appropriate to consider Point Loma as a starting point - the start of a new land, a new dream, a new way of looking at things. And that's just the place to start your own exploration of San Diego, with a voyage around Point Loma, Harbor Island and Shelter Island.
A nautical atmosphere prevails on Shelter Island, one of San Diego's principal boating centers, where marinas, resort hotels, restaurants and bay side parks welcome sailors and landlubbers with recreational amenities. Many short and long-range sport fishing trips depart from here, catching a host of Pacific fish like Yellowtail, Albacore, Halibut, Dorado, Calico Bass and a variety of rock fish. Shelter Island is also home to Humphreys Half Moon Inn, and their summer Concerts By The Bay, which attract nationally known musicians and comedians. At the end of Shelter Island, you'll find the Yokohama Friendship Bell, a large bronze bell housed in a pagoda structure, that was a gift from the city of Yokohama, Japan in 1958 to commemorate the sister city relationship between San Diego and Yokohama.
