...we have just returned from a 4 night stay in Miro Apartment and can thoroughly recommend it. Located in a typical Barcelona apartment block, Miro was excellently located, at equal distance from both Passeig de Gracia and the Sagrada Familiar (5 Eixample blocks either way). The apartment is perfectly set up for 2/3 people and retains many original features, such as the tiled floors, but has been tastefully modernised. The small balcony provided a pleasant place to sit with a glass of wine, to watch the neighbourhood going about their business. Plenty of local shops and bars within walking distance, including the much nicer upper half of the Ramblas (Ramblas de Catalunya). We particularly loved gazing up and down the street at the fantastic architecture. Juan was friendly and welcoming, with lots of helpful information. We were going to see Barca play on the Sunday night and he provided details of 2 bus routes to get us to the stadium - both of which stop at the top of the street!! Yes, there is a little noise from the hustle and bustle of the street, but as the previous reviewer commented, it's all part of staying in the city. We felt like we were part of the neighbourhood and not just visiting. We will definitely return - we have found our Barcelona home-from-home.
