A plunge in the Sicilian atmosphere !

Our home holidays is located in the very heart of Ortigia Island, the old town of Syracuse and Unesco world heritage site, in historical building of the ‘800, recently restored and returned to all its original splendor.

We are a small, family-run business with some apartments in a very strategical point:, a few steps from the sea and Aretusa Spring , halfway between the Cathedral and Maniace Castle.

All of our apartments are different one to each other but all of them are provided with wi-fi internet connection, air conditioning/heating and all the other modern comforts you could need. The building has also a modern elevator very unusual to find in the old town. The apartments are in a really quiet area even though they are located in the city center of Ortigia island.

We'd like to let you know that we don't want to rent simply apartments but we love to offer you our full availability and support in any situation we could be of some help for you.

Details for MIRAMARE 1 Bedroom, Sleeps 5, 2 Bathrooms

It's a large and elegant loft apartment on the top floor of our building, with 2 bathrooms and private terrace. It's called 'Miramare' because from its terrace you can enjoy a 'slice' of blue sea and beautiful sunsets drinking something, taking the sun or having a romantic dinner at the fresh of the sea breeze. The apartment has living area, sleeping area (in the loft) and its wonderful private terrace. The living area has two rooms: a living room with sofa - bed and a bright dining room with a typical Mediterranean fitted kitchenette and a very typical vintage floor. From it, on the same level, you can pop out to the terrace. It has delicious armchairs, deckchairs, table and sunshade and all around typical Mediterranean plants make the frame picturesque and charming. From the living-room, a typical wooden staircase leads to the bedroom en suite. The second and biggest bathroom of the apartment is downstairs. In every corner of the city traces of these ancient civilisations can be seen.

Our residence is located in Ortigia island, the old town of Siracusa and world heritage site, in historical building of the 800’, recently restored and returned to all its original splendour. The location is impressive: a few steps from the sea and Aretusa Spring , half way between the Cathedral and Maniace Castle. Among restaurants, pubs and bars, just outside your apartment, you'll be spoiled for choice. The promenade dotted with coves where swimming and maybe stop to admire those who, according to Goethe, are the most beautiful sunsets in the world!

Notes:	Our Miramare is a loft apartment so it is necessary to step up a small and typical wooden staircase to go to the bedroom. We have a no smoking policy in our apartment, but it is allowed to smoke in the terrace, so smokers are welcome in respect of these rules. We don't have a private parking. During the weekdays is possible to find parking in the streets near the apartment or in the seafront where it's allowed. In the weekend and holidays, from Friday night to Sunday night (with a small break on Saturday morning) a great area of Ortigia is traffic limited area. Basically you have 2 options during the traffic limited area: a) you can park the car at a public parking called Talete (about 1 km far from the apartment) b) you can park the car at the private garage close to the apartment . If you park your car there you have a retroactive pass that allows you to drive also on Sunday. The cost of the garage is 10 euro per day or 70 euro for a month.
