Overview

Kings Heights House Rental Photos and Description

Wonderfully located-Close to everything!

This lovely vintage home is comprised of 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, and sleeps up to 6 adults, and a couple of kids. This home is located just steps from the best that Northwest Portland has to offer. The home has a walkscore of 97!--dubbed a 'walker's paradise.' Although you don't need a car, you can park one car in our driveway. The closest grocery store is Trader Joes, and there are 115 restaurants within a 15 minute walk, and nearby parks include Couch Park, Wallace Park, Northwest Raleigh Street, and Campbell Fountain Our home is in the center of the very popular and desirable NW 23rd and 21st Avenues, also known as 'Nob Hill' or the 'Historic Alphabet' district. Walk to Salt and Straw Ice Cream (ONE BLOCK), the Timbers game (less than a mile), and a few blocks from Papa Hayden Restaurant--Close to the Good Sumaritan hospital, this area has an eclectic flair, mixing high-fashion and decor with a touch of old-world class. The Nob Hill shopping district is home to the best Europen pastires, northwest coffees, Oregon Micro-brews, fine art, jewelry, pubs, spas, galleries, and rare antiques-- all just steps from this perfectly located home. Even Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, amazing food and desserts at Papa Hayden and Trader Joe's Grocery store are just steps away from my home. In the summer, enjoy the Nob Hill Farmer's Market, right around the corner, and the Summer Concert Series (also right around the corner), at Wallace Park on Thursdays in the summer. Getting to Pearl is just a quick 10 minute walk, or 7 minutes by public transit. The Portland Timbers stadium is walkable too (only 3/4 mile), and you can get to the Zoo, OMSI, and the museum in 15 minutes from here by car, or 25 minutes by transit. Airport, 15 minutes by car, or 30 minutes by public transport and train station is less than 2 miles away. This location is unbeatable! Also, for concerts-- The MODA center, and the Convention center are walkable, easy cab, or public transit. I am serious when I say this location is UNBEATABLE!!!!!

About Lisa

I am a mother of three great kids, and used to be a former financial consultant before becoming a full time mom. I love people, and I love working with people. Having this VRBO has allowed me to have a business on the side which doesn't take away any time from my mohtering duties. I grew up in New Mexico, attended school in San Diego, CA, where I obtained a Business Degree, with a focus on Hotel/Restaurant Mangement. I then spent 10 years of my life in Sonoma, CA, where my kids were born, then we moved to the rugged and beautiful coast of Oregon. Having this VRBO allows me to use my Hospitality skills; which is really fun. I love feedback, and I hope that if you decide to stay at the home, that you will like it and come back! I have met so many nice people through VRBO. All my guests are so interesting, amazing-- AND NICE!!!

Lisa purchased this house in 2013

Why Lisa chose Kings Heights

We live on the Coast of Oregon and we purchased this property because we love the house, and the neighborhood. Ideally, we will move to this home permanently, when our kids get older. This location is perfect, because you can walk to the most popular bars and restaurants and cafes. I love the shopping and the culture of this area. This area of Portland has a very European styled transport system; you can get anywhere by foot or transit; very easily. We want your stay to be as special for you as it is for us! Our goal is to have you come back again and again and refer your friends.

What makes this house unique

Perfect location! I love walking to everything from this home, and the ability for me to enjoy the wonderful city of Portland without ever having to drive! This location is just perfect! And the views from the home are very peaceful and calming. Dining out on the back deck is super entertaining and private, and I enjoy the 'art of people watching' from my front deck!

Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

Lisa was fantastic to work with and her house was perfect. Great location to everything. Very highly recommended for anyone wanting a lovely home with character! If you can't appreciate some of the older features of a historic home then this is probably not the property for you. Portland is really a place where you should immerse yourself in the culture and charm and this house and location certainly do the trick.

Growing a beard and purchasing a North Face jacket for this trip was also helpful. I think the baristas treated me like one of their own when I ordered a 12 oz. restretto soy latte with a half pack of Splenda and splash of vanilla in a 16 oz. cup. An out of towner might be scoffed at. We also had a blast at the Saturday Art Market on Burnside. They had some great recycled art and soap sculptures. We even joined a protest march to the waterfront where a Doggie 5k was taking place. Do not worry, the protest was not against the Doggie 5k.

Anyway, bring your Patagonia wind breaker and get ready for a great adventure at this fantastic rental in Portland.

Perfect Alphabet District House

  • 5 of 5

The location was perfect. Close to the streetcar (after we figured that out) and so much cool Portland stuff right on 23rd. The house interior design was very nice and it had that right balance between the oldness of the neighborhood (1890's) to modern comforts.

Great location!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at the house with three of my college friends for a mini reunion this past weekend. It was the perfect house for us-comfy beds, great furnishings & lots of space. One of the girls thought the pillows on the king bed were too thin, but the rest of us were fine. The house is in a great location in Nob Hill & also a walkable distance to the Pearl District. We loved Salt & Straw for ice cream & papa Haydn for desserts! The market at the end of 23rd was awesome for grabbing some great wines & cheese to have at the house. Lisa was easy to work with & the check in & out went perfectedly. I highly recommend this house to families or a group of ladies on a girls weekend!

My family just spent four nights at this wonderful home. The house has lots of room and was very comfortable. The location was perfect with restaurants, shops and bars just steps from the house! We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Portland.

Perfect place for our vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time in Portland attending the NCAA tournament. This home was perfect! We loved the location. It's just far enough from the center of the city to feel like you were able to get away but it's close enough to everything you need. We loved taking advantage of the shops and restaurants on 23rd. The home itself has tons of character and has been maintained very well. We would love to stay here again.
