Sandalwood Cottage is a recently converted barn in a small development of similar properties which share 3 acres of private grounds close to East Allington. There is a communal tennis court and children's play area. The barn has been tastefully furnished and equipped to a high standard. It is an ideal base for families or groups of friends and has Wi-Fi internet access.

The first floor has a large open plan living area, taking full advantage of the large windows in the roof to give a wonderful light and airy outlook.

The upstairs is oak floored and has a large well equipped modern kitchen, stylish dining area, and comfortable sitting area.

Also on the first floor is the fourth bedroom, utility and shower-room. Access to the rear secluded patio is from this level.

The ground floor has a large entrance hall, the master bedroom with en-suite shower room, double bedroom, twin bedroom and modern family bathroom. The front garden is a small enclosed grassed area.

What a find!

As others have said, the pictures do not do the property justice. We were a party of six, including 8 & 4 year old girls and can truly say that Sandalwood had everything we could have asked for and more. It has been beautifully modernised with great attention to detail and the peaceful location, even in August, could not have been better. The children loved the play area, especially the zipwire and the adults enjoyed the tennis. There is loads to do in the area, all tastes being well catered for, but the children especially enjoyed crabbing from the estuary wall in Kings bridge. We can recommend The Codfather in Kings bridge for fish and chips. We were all sorry to leave. Thank you Liz!

great open plan living

SANDLEWOOD is a lovely barn conversion on a rural complex of holiday/residential barns. The house is lovely & perfect for a big family or group. The open plan living upstairs is Light & spacious. There are some fantastic places to visit close by. We particularly enjoyed our trip to Salcombe. we used the park & ride & then took the little ferry across to East Portlemouth to the beautiful sandy beach.

Relaxing mid week break

We booked Sandelwood Cottage at the last minute and quite surprised to find something that looked so nice. The photographs don't really show how lovely it was, really clean and spacious. The cottage had everything we needed plus instructions on how to use everything. It's a short drive from the town and the beaches but if you want somewhere away from it all, this is the place. We had 3 children with us ages 2 - 10 who had a great time, they're looking forward to our next visit hopefully later in the year.

Sandalwood Cottage is delightful. So much more lovely than I dared to expect. It was wonderfully clean, comfortable and cosy. The location is fantastic, the neighbours are charming and the smell of manure really let's you know that you are in the countryside! Our stay could not have been more perfect.

Best holiday accomodation we have ever stayed in

The pictures do not do the barn justice, very clean, tidy and well equipped accomodation with all that a family could want for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. The children loved the tennis court and play area. The surrounding area was beautiful with a variety of wildlife. The location of the barn is within easy reach of Kingsbridge, Dartmouth and the beautiful nearby beaches. Bantham is a must for all ages with beautiful sand and unspoilt scenery. Salcombe is a pretty place to visit with great tasting ice cream, the Church House Inn in Churchstow is excellent value and quality with fresh local food. We would highly recommend the property and the children have already asked to come back again. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
