This property has recently been redecorated, and is furnished to a very high standard. The open plan sitting room / dining room and kitchen is located upstairs, and has a really light and airy feel. We used the property as a base for three days of walking on the coastal footpaths, and three days of mountain biking on Dartmoor and in the local area. There is a secure patio at the back where we kept the bikes, and there is plenty of off-road parking. The property is set well away from any main roads, so there is no traffic noise. There were a number of children in the adjacent properties, and there is a play area for the kids. It seems like a very safe area for a family holiday. There is a path leading from the house to the local pub (10-15 mins walk) which serves excellent food and some fine beers.

We have always been very impressed by the local pub in East Allington (the Fortescue Arms) which serves excellent food both in the bar and restaurant.
