A lovely house on the banks of John Joseph pond. 5 bedrooms, 3 bathroom, sleeps comfortably 10-12 people.
There is a fully equiped kitchen and dining area, 2 reception rooms, games room with pool and table tennis table. There's a sauna and sunny deck, with outdoor grill, over looking the crystal clear freshwater John Joseph pond.
There are two kayaks and a diving raft in deep water and a private beach, with outdoor furniture and sun beds. There are five bikes, of varying sizes to use.
The house has a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, iron and ironing board.
There is ample parking for up to six cars.
We first saw this property in 2008. We had looked at a lot of properties before we saw this one and as soon as we looked from the deck over the pond we fell in love with it, although it needed a lot of work doing to it!
The house was completely remodelled in 2010 to a very high standard and has plenty or room for the largest of families.
The best part of the house is its location on the pond, which is ideal for swiming, kayaking, fishing or just relaxing by.
There are so many things to do, from just lazing around on the beach or by the pond, to an action packed vacation destination. You choose just what type of vacation you are looking for. There are cycle routes near by where you can walk or cycle to Chatham, or for the more adventurous the cycle route goes all the way to Province Town. You can fresh water fish on the pond in your own back yard or if you prefer sea fishing you couldn't be in a better place.
You can surf in the Atlantic or relax in the warmer waters of Nantucket Sound or Cape Cod Bay. You can go Kayaking or sailing on the pond, go and have a round of golf at one of the local golf courses, there's crazy golf and bowling for the children and even a drive in cinema. You can go dune buggy riding at Province Town. There are historic sites to visit, including the Pilgrim's ship, The Mayflower and you can go to the live museum, Plimouth Plantation, where you can see how the settlers and native Indians lived.
For the evenings there are too many restaurants to mention, of all types and from all price ranges.
