Quiet and private - located on a ridge at the end of a no-through road, looking out to sea. Fantastic 180 degree view over trees to the sea beyond. Veranda/master bedroom look towards the sea, while the other two bedrooms overlook the pool. Beaches, golf, cricket, sailing, water-sports, shops and restaurants nearby.

Many of our guests are return visitors to Barbados and enjoy the experience of feeling that they live here, rather than just visiting. Our house offers all the comforts of home and is very central for the best beaches and the main entertainment areas.

Whole house, including the veranda, netted against mosquitoes. Spacious, light and cool - 1 900 sq ft - representing excellent value for money: why pay twice the price or more, when the beach is only 5 minutes drive away and you can enjoy a beautiful sea view from our breezy veranda?

The listing description was accurate and Michael was a very gracious and obliging owner to deal with throughout out stay. The property was clean and well maintained. Michael and the Property Management team gave attentive and very good customer service. I would certainly rent this property again and also recommend it to my family and friends. We are a family with 3 older teenagers, having visited Barbados a number of times before we found the house at Gun Site ideal. The community of houses are quiet and the gardens very well maintained. The house provided plenty of space for us all, situated near the pool( we were usually the only ones using it) and able to enjoy beautiful views of Bridgetown and the sea from the back of the house.
A short drive to the coast provided many places to eat and the supermarket, all very convenient. we visited many beaches around the island, driving is very easy we used bing maps rather than the tourist map which shortened many journeys. We each had many highlights, a catameran trip to swim with turtles, 3 Fridays at Oistens fish night, surfing at Miami beach. We hiked with the Barbados National Trust, lucky to experience a moon hike at full moon.and watching the race horses from the Garrison swimming in the sea.
Michael was extremely helpful at all times, We booked very late so a scramble for flights shifted our dates, Michael was very understanding and courteous.
I hope our family holidays will continue to be this successful in the future!

Took my parents, husband and newborn for a week. Fantastic place to stay! Spacious, great pool, great location, can walk down to the beach, clean... will definitely stay again.

Relax, Relax, Relax

We arrived on a late flight and were met by Shaun, the taxi driver used by the agents. He was really helpful and even came with us to the supermarket after we had checked in at the house, as we were unsure of driving around at night on our first evening. The house is well represented by the photographs on the site and we found it very easy to settle in. Some really good beaches are very nearby (a car is recommended). I'm keen on beach walking and particularly enjoyed going down to Carlisle Bay in the late afternoon - it is a mile long from one end to the other and the sand is flat and firm: ideal for walking. It's also a good location for snorkelling, as there is a marine reserve.

Restaurants and supermarkets are nearby. Michael provided a list of recommendations and we especially liked 'Shakers' in Browne's Gap - we went there twice during our stay. There are also some good family restaurants in The Gap. We also went to the drive-in cinema one evening - again on Michael's recommendation, which was a great experience and I would recommend it.

The house was cool and breezy and we didn't need to use the airconditioning. The pool and gardens were well maintained and the site was very quiet - I think a lot of the residents were away overseas during the holiday period, which was great for us.

A very relaxing stay and a great way to escape the winter weather for a couple of weeks.

They can also arrange for a rental car to be waiting at the house for you when you arrive.

Nice place to stay

This house was big enough for the whole family and had air conditioning!! It was overlooking the sea but you will need a car to get about. Very quiet and with a beautiful view. For us it was ideally placed on the island, near our friends and relatives, the Garrison racecourse and a 7 minute drive to the Yacht Club. Has everything you need.

The property was clean but we hit a bank holiday and did have difficulty getting the maid service but it was sorted with a quick phone call.

I would highly recommend this property

The best beaches on the South Coast are located in Christ Church. The area also contains the island's principal entertainment areas, two golf courses and the horse racing track. Cricket nearby at the Wanderers and the Kensington Oval. You can snorkel on the wrecks in Carlisle Bay and see lots of fish - and often turtles. The recently opened South Coast board walk is very near for a relaxing stroll by the sea. There is a jogging course at the Garrison which is within easy reach of the house. Many restaurants and entertainment spots are located throughout the area. There are many others services such as surfing, sub-diving, sports fishing and boat charters located is this part of the island.

Our house - Ridge View - has an amazing view over the south coast, looking out over trees to the sea beyond. It is located in a small, secure development: ideal for relaxing and getting away from it all.

Other Activities: Snorkelling, lovely beaches, cricket, Garrison historical area and horse racing, walking/jogging tracks.

Golf: The Rockley Golf Club is 5 minutes drive from our house. A number of golfers have rented our house for this reason. Rockley is popular with local and visitors and offers a 9 Hole (with alternative tees for back nine) par 70, 5610yd course. This is also an active social scene. http://www.rockleygolfclub.com/go/

The Barbados Golf Club is 10-15 minutes drive away. The 18 hole golf course features two “Returning Nines” which finish into a expansive and unique triple green that wrap seamlessly around a lake.
