Welcome to paradise found in Moontide B206. This large 3 bedroom unit is perfect for couples or families. Newly renovated in early 2013, this unit pampers you as your home away from home.

B206 is decorated to surround you in a bright and cheery Florida vibe. Far too many of the rental condo's we have seen are neutral and sterile. Our renters wanted something uplifting, fun and full of life. The minute you walk into this condo the warm colors will help you know it is vacation time. The master bedroom is huge. It has a king size bed and a large flat screen TV. The master bathroom has been completely renovated including a brand new fully tiled shower with bench seat. The middle bedroom has a queen bed and the 3rd bedroom has two twin beds. All bedrooms have TV's. The leather couch in the living room converts to a very comfortable sofa bed allowing you room to increase your party to sleep 8.

The kitchen has also been upgraded for your enjoyment. To the foodies delight, you will find everything you need to make any meal. You can prep your favorite meals as you look out at the panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean.

The 26' long living room is huge and well furnished with comfortable, durable reclining leather. This makes for a great place to lounge. Read a book, watch TV or a movie (we provide you a small library of movies or go to Red Box just a block away) on the brand new 51' Plasma TV.

The balcony has 4 'bar height' chairs and a table to allow you a very comfortable spot to relax, entertain, dine or simply gaze out at the ocean.

While at Moontide B206 you can be in the condo and see the kids to the pool (note: children must have adult supervision at the pool at all times). The unit sits comfortably above the pool for privacy but low enough to enjoy the happenings there.

Keep in mind, in the B building, you get both pool and ocean views with the convienience of being able to send your trash down the chutes at either end of the building. Renters in A must haul their trash with them back to the dumpsters below the B building. Another bonus of being in the B building is that as you enter and exit our condo you get the enjoyment of gazing west and seeing the estuaries of the Indian River and the Intracoastal in the distance. The soft chimes of the Catholic church across the street will provide an occasional musical backdrop. It is a delight.

B206 also has a full size washer and dryer to help ease on the amount of packing you have to do.

When staying at Moontide B206, you will get access to secured underground parking just like all the owners do. There are shopping carts and luggage carriers to make your check-in super easy. You will find that renters at Moontide come back for decades in a row. B206 is simply the best rental condo on the best beach in all of Florida. We know you'll love it as much as we do.

About Rick Swanson

We entered the vacation rental market 'by accident'. We bought my parent's house on Lake Erie, the sight of our 1998 wedding, in 2008. Until that time, the Lake Erie home had been open to family only. To help make our purchase more affordable, we began to rent the Lake Erie house. To our delight, the vacation renters have and continue to love it and care for it. We cannot be there all the time so it delights us to read the wonderful reviews people post about their time there. Hoping to be snowbirds someday when retirement rolls around, we opted to expand to New Smyrna. Having purchased B206 from a woman who lived there for 30+ years, we spent our first two weeks of ownership in what felt like our own version of an extended episode of extreme makeover. Through longs days, careful shopping and tons of TLC, we transformed Moontide B206 into a place we are proud to call our own, and one that we know (okay, hope) our renters will rave about.

Great condo and a great vacation!

My wife and I, our two children, and my parents all stayed together in this condo during our vacation to Florida. We had a great time on our trip and really enjoyed staying at Moontide. The condo was spacious, had lots of cookware (and bottle openers!), excellent access to the beach, an awesome pool, and plenty of things to do. The view from the balcony is spectacular and enjoying a cup of coffee as the sun peaked up over the ocean every morning was a real treat.

I'd give this condo 5 stars but two issues did arise that could have been handled better. On two of the days we stayed, loud construction started in the unit above us at 9am and continued for a few hours. From the sounds of it, the tile may have been getting replaced. It's totally understandable that work needs to be done and quiet hours were respected, but it would have been nice to known about the work ahead of time so we could have planned to be out of the unit while it was occurring. When speaking with the owners they, too, were unaware construction was scheduled.

Second, Moontide provides a checkout list for guests to follow on their last day. We also discovered the owners had their own checkout list in the condo. The owners' list asks for guests to place all bed sheets and linens in the laundry room while Moontide's also asks for a load to be started in the washer. On the day of our checkout we noticed this discrepancy and talked to management about it. We were told if the laundry wasn't started we could be subject to a charge. Had we not inquired, we could have been surprised to find a charge after leaving for the laundry, which was concerning since Moontide requires either an image of your credit card or the credit card information written down on a charge slip with a blank dollar amount for them to fill in. Making sure the owners' checkout list and Moontide's checkout lists ask the guests to start a load of laundry would really help alleviate that confusion for future visitors.

Also, the AC had a hard time keeping up in the front bedroom with the two twin beds. The ceiling fan's speed was on a low and was not adjustable. A few nights our son had trouble sleeping because the room got pretty warm. For someone that likes it warm while they sleep (like our daughter), this wouldn't be a problem.

I would definitely recommend this condo and Moontide to my friends!

Owner's Response: We appreciate the great comments about the condo. Just last month I figured out that the fans require specialty fan controls that are not stocked at normal hardware stores (they require higher amps). These are are being installed this Friday. The comments about the AC are the first we have heard of this, but will have our AC service company out immediately to investigate and make any needed adjustments. We are thankful when our renters point out anything that is not working properly (we'd prefer a call, but what the heck, in a review is fine). We will always get it addressed right away and consider it very helpful in our quest to keep the place in tip top shape.

Fabulous condo!

Great Vacation in New Smyrna!

We just returned from a week of vacation in New Smyrna Beach. The accommodations at this Moontide condo were wonderful and we felt as if we were home. The 3 bedroom condo is clean, spacious, and very tastefully decorated. The owners have supplied the condo with all you could want in the kitchen and the beach paraphernalia provided was great for a day at the beach, which is only steps away. One of our best memories was an afternoon on the beach, under the umbrella, with a packed lunch watching the surfers ride the waves! We woke up each morning to a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean. The owners are very attentive and called a couple of times during our stay to insure all was well. We would recommend B206 to anyone, whether for an adult stay or a family vacation.

High Hopes

My wife and I had owned a home and New Smyrna Beach and we were really looking forward to visiting our old stomping grounds. The MoonTide location is one we remember from living inland and the beach location is almost ideal. Non drive beach, turtle season, in between spring break and memorial day... prefect timing. This entire experience was very good right from the start. The owners (Rick & Dianne) were very good to work with and we spoke to them a few times during the booking process and during our stay. One small item was fixed nearly immediately and their call mid term through our visit was really appreciated. The agents at Moontide were also really good to work with. The unit looked just like the photos and the beach was the absolute best. 206B has beach chairs, towels, pool items, everything you will need including a great view. I really would have rated this a 4-5 stars almost any other week of the year. My problem was not the owners or the condo. Moon tide was re-working the tennis court, shuffle board and req. area and also there were leaks in all the common areas that were being repaired. Like the parking area, elevators and main hallway to the beach. It looked like the fire protection system was leaking badly and most the ceiling tiles were removed so people could repair the pipes and there were buckets to catch leaks. It just looked bad. because of this, half the advertised activities were unusable. The most important space , the beach, was spectacular. Also the jackhammers to make repairs started at 8AM for more than half the stay. I asked the office about this on our 2nd day and was told that this was the last day...but you never know if they will find more repairs. They did. This was fine, I understand that all places eventually need some repairs but be honest with me and tell me before I arrive and let me know that this will last most of my stay. One of our guests was a 2nd shifter so this was really disruptive to them. Honestly for a normal 1st shift person..we were on the beach by 9AM so not a problem. But this was a vacation for everyone in our party not just us day time early riser types and it would have been nice to sleep in a few days so the 8AM start was not ideal. This was the only glitch the whole week but it really took the shine off an otherwise great vacation. Every day started earlier than expected which meant the days ended early too.

Owner's Response: We are disappointed that this renter's experience with Moontide was interrupted by the construction. I will speak with the management and find out why this was not done at a slower time of year. I know that the Moontide buildings are in cycle of upkeep to make the building safe, usable and kept in great condition. We also hope that potential renters recognize that the 3 stars seems to be from the unfortunate timing of their stay with the maintenance that was going on. As indicated in the note, we are always pleased to hear of their satisfaction with B206. We take that very seriously and want our renters to think they are getting great value.

Great Unit

Great unit, this is the first time in many years we didn't have to buy anything to use in the kitchen of our summer beach rental. Plenty of pots/pans, measuring cups, storage containers, knives, cutting boards, ect. Nice view of the pool (with the beach in the distance) to pick a not-so-crowded time to swim. Well maintained (cleaned regularly) complex in comparison to other we've stayed. Nice large living area with plenty of seating. One of the few places we've stayed that we'd enthusiastically book again. Nice ice cream place with outdoor firepits for smores just a few blocks down A1A.
