Palm Springs House Rental Photos and Description
A popular playground for Hollywood stars from the 50s to today, Palm Springs has for decades been the holiday destination of choice for those looking for an idyllic winter getaway in the California sun.
Aptly inspired by our favorite Rat Pack crooner Dean Martin, our recently renovated condo 'That's Amore', is where mid-century meets modern. Delight in all the coolness of the 60s with today's conveniences. This 1550 sq ft, semi-detached home with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, is fully decked for foodies, golf addicts, architect geeks, and sun lovers alike. Golf where presidents have played and we’ll even provide the clubs!
Enjoy the best of the Palm Springs lifestyle! Seven Lakes Clubhouse has a new Culinary Institute of America trained chef and we're just a few blocks from the Parker Hotel!
Enjoy this gated community with indoor/outdoor living, 10 ft. walls of glass opening up to the 16th fairway on one side of the house, and a private walled courtyard on the other. This hipster home offers retro style in a country club community that remains a favorite amongst mid-century architectural fans.
ABOUT SEVEN LAKES COUNTRY CLUB
As Seven Lakes celebrates it’s 50th Anniversary this year, come enjoy this gated community and private golf club with magnificent mountain views, just minutes from either downtown Palm Springs or the airport. With a private executive golf course on your doorstep, 7 small lakes and 15 pools & spas, tennis courts, unique mid-century architecture, and glorious landscaping over 120 acres of land, Seven Lakes offers pretty much everything.
Golfers delight in the hand-manicured, executive, 18-hole course designed by Ted Robinson. The layout makes playing fun and challenging no matter what your handicap. Play on the same course of famous pros and celebrities -- Johnny Revolta, PGA Hall of Fame Member, was a permanent resident here -- and President Dwight D. Eisenhower had his ONLY hole-in-one, where he played with President Lyndon B. Johnson. The renovated Club House restaurant and bar offer superb lunches, dinners and buffets, as well as catering services.
The architecture is classic mid-century-modern, built in the 1960s and designed by Ric Harrison & William Cody, the expansive, floor to ceiling, sliding glass walls, huge volume/high ceiling rooms, along with atria, pressed block and shade overhangs are unmatched in the Valley. Architectural designs feature a simple sophistication of true mid-century details: patterned concrete block; 10’ ceilings; walls of glass; clerestory windows; large and open floor plans. This is also the lowest density residential community in the valley and one of the few private golf courses.
With its sparkling Lakes, San Jacinto mountain vistas and countless mature citrus & palm trees, Seven Lakes captures the beauty of desert golf and the essence of country club living.

About Lori Pike
We've been in the hospitality industry for over thirty years. Mike is originally from Vancouver, Canada and previously had several restaurants. He currently operates a boutique winery in the Okanagan. Lori is from Scottsdale, Arizona and previously owned a lakeside cottage rental in the Okanagan, which she recently sold.
We've always loved the modernist look and were attracted to Palm Springs for its unique mid-century modern architecture, outstanding climate, and large variety of outdoor attractions.
Lori Pike purchased this house in 2013
Why Lori Pike chose Palm Springs
We visited Palm Springs for the first time four years ago and fell in love the vibe of the community that truly has everything under the sun. From groovy retro architecture, to world-class dining and shopping, to an abundance of outdoor activities -- hiking, cycling, tennis, golf and so much more.
What makes this house unique
The Seven Lakes community is truly special, from the breathtaking scenery, golf literally at your doorstep, and upscale amenities like none other in Palm Springs.
Some of our favorite activities -- picking fruit from the citrus trees by our backdoor and enjoying freshly squeezed juice on the patio, brunch at Seven Lakes Country Club, hiking the Lykken trail, sunning by the pool, and walking over to The Parker for dinner and drinks.
Guestbook comments from the owner
"We had an outstanding time and felt right at home since day one in your condo. Your wine was delicious and a lovely welcome to That's Amore. Everything was so very comfortable. Being back in Palm Springs was so much fun! We visited a lot of our 'old haunts' and found some new ones. You have such a great place, we hope to return sometime in the future!"
