Life is Laid Back on the Gulf! Come relax, slow down and enjoy life on the water. Our cozy vacation home on the Gulf will be your next get-a-way to soak up the sun and recharge. Indulge in beautiful sunsets poolside or our floating dock or best yet, from the beach. Our cozy screened-in lanai offers a cool respite from the sun with a view of the water.
Dolphins, Manatees and various seabirds (cranes, seagulls, eagles and pelicans) are frequent visitors.
For the fishing enthusiast, our two person kayak can easily transport you and your gear to the nearby Mangroves for some great flats fishing, or the kids may catch a variety of fish off the dock. Boat and jet-ski rentals are available right within our community should you opt to venture into the Gulf for fishing or to explore Anclote Island and the nearby sandbar for superb shell collecting.
For those who prefer lying like broccoli and soaking up the sun, we have 110 feet of Seawall, adjacent to the pool, accompanied by nine foot umbrellas, lounge chairs and tables. Your family may enjoy our private beach access, equipped with outdoor grills, covered picnic tables, and clean restroom facilities. Plentiful State and County Parks are within easy minutes; Green Key Beach, Anclote River Park, Howard Park and Key Vista Nature park.
Our home offers an open, spacious floor plan with 2000 square feet of Coral tiled flooring with 3 bedrooms (King, 2 Queen) and 2 full baths. For the brisk ocean air nights, enjoy a crackling fire in the large fireplace in the family room. Those who prefer to sit outside can and be embraced by the fire’s warmth from the Chiminea and sit right at the ocean’s edge.
For the chef in the family there's a gourmet kitchen equipped with every convenience including stainless appliances, double oven and built-in cook surface atop of huge granite food prep area. Our custom built cabinets put everything within reach for added ease of cooking. A chef designed and built the kitchen.
The family room has a large flat screen TV and Playstation 2 for the kids. The screened lanai has 2 tables to seat a sizeable group for friendly gatherings.
Fishing poles, bikes and kayak are included. Many rentals do not include toilet paper. This is included for your convenience. The paddle boat was retired and is no longer available.
Work brought us to Florida from Colorado in 2010 and unfortunately, the project came to an end. We love enjoying the best of two great worlds with each state enriching our lives in unique ways. We have moved back to Colorado as our 'home base' but come back to enjoy our Florida home often.
One Fish, Two Fish LLC purchased this house in 2011
We started out as vacation renters from VRBO in this very neighborhood and our great experience in this area prompted us to make our home here in Gulf Harbors. It's a wonderful community!
When we bought our home, we completely renovated it, so, all appliances and flooring are new. There are relaxation spots around the home to fit every mood, from the cozy living room with a fireplace, to the screened-in lanai, to poolside, to the dock. The community also has its own private beach -- very rare in Florida.
My husband, dog, and I stayed here in January. Lovely and comfortable house with many amenities. Pool, deck, and porch were great. Quiet, non-touristy neighborhood. General area (within 30 miles or so) offers many parks, hiking trails, beaches. We recommend it.
My family and I were down from Georgia visiting family. The house was great for having people over. Nice large kitchen, open family room and the weather was great for most of the stay so we spent a lot if time on the back deck and screened porch. The bedrooms were spacious as well. The house was also very well stocked with cooking supplies, 2 bikes, kayak, life jackets towels etc.... The neighborhood was also nice and safe. I jogged with my dog and met several nice residents during our stay. I highly recommend this house for rent.
We stayed at this home the week of September 7th 2014. My wife and I and 2 other couples all from Iowa needed a relaxing kid free week and decided to rent a house vs. 3 hotel rooms as it was much more cost effective. We had plans to spend the days away from the house going to Clearwater beach and other activities but with the gorgeous pool, dock and gourmet kitchen we ended up staying at the house for the majority of the trip. We went to a few nearby restaurants for diner but other than that it was paradise right there at house so we felt there was no reason to leave. There is a grocery store about a 5 minute drive away and the private beach is just at the end of the community. Us guys spent a few hours a day just fishing off the dock catching a wide variety of fish while the women laid by the pool sipping margaritas and reading. In the morning my wife and I would take the kayak down the different bays and check out all the big boats and wildlife. On the last day we were there we had a massive manatee right off the dock and it stayed there for the majority of the morning. We spent the evenings playing cards in the screened in porch and consuming a few adult beverages. It was just what the doctor ordered. This house is perfect for a family vacation and much more cost effective as you are not surrounded by big hotel resorts. I would recommend this to any honeymoon couple, couples getaway or families as it will suit them all.
We just returned from our mostly female adventure to Florida! We had myself, my sister, my daughter, and 2 nieces and 2 doggies (also female!) My husband and my daughters husband did join us for 2 of the days! To be honest, I knew this was the perfect place for us just from the picture of the man on the kayak with his dog! I was sold! I run an adventure company called Zoetic Adventures and rent villas/houses all over the world! This home was way more than promised, and the pictures did not due it justice! We enjoyed the pool (A LOT!) the kids were in it every chance they got! This was their very first ever vacation, first time seeing the Gulf, tasting the salty ocean water lol!.. So many firsts! We were close enough to so many places, we spent an afternoon at Clearwater Beach. We went to the fresh water springs for the day. To Tarpon Springs for an afternoon to the aquarium at the sponge docks where the kids got to feed sharks and pet sting rays! We rented a pontoon boat from Belle Marina got a great deal, we went to Anclote Island and spent the entire day enjoying the beauty and finding soooooooooo many shells and sand dollars, The girls were so excited and even the doggies LOVED it! All in all I would highly recommend One Fish Two Fish! We didn't want to leave, I almost asked for a few days more but Disney World was next and couldn't talk the kids out of that...
The beautifully decorated house has lots of room and is located in a great area. There is a well-equipped kitchen, a nice-sized pool and lots of extras. Three generation family all had a wonderful time and hated to leave. Will stay longer next time since there are still lots of things to do and places to explore.
Beautiful home on the water with pool and dock. Kids loved the pool. The house is very spacious and handled our party of 8 without any issues. We fished from the dock and caught a bunch of fish. Beach is good. We did rent a boat from Windsong boat rental and took a 3 mile ride out to the sandbar in the gulf. Kids found shells and we all saw dolphins. The house had everything we needed. We cooked out every night on the provided grill that is dual charcoal and gas. Screened in Lani was great for lunch and dinner. We highly recommend your family staying at this property. Tons of things to see and do in a quiet area.
