Bequia Apartment Rental Photos and Description
2 bedroom, 2 bath, independent apartment with wow views from the balcony...
The apartment can be rented as either one bedroom or two bedrooms. See rates.
A Shade of Blues is a luxury villa on the hillside above Princess Margaret beach in Bequia, an island in The Grenadines. The Apartment sits privately at the top of the building with its own balcony. Each bedroom / bath area is the same size. The eat-in kitchen is nicely equipped for holiday living with your own bbq outside.
The rooms have cathedral style ceilings and are cooled with ceiling fans in all areas - including the balcony.
A shared pool is perfect for cooling off during the daytime...but you will really enjoy swimming at Princess Margaret, which you can walk to / from in your bathing suits. At early morning or sunset periods you can be the only person in the water...a turtle sometimes swims offshore...magic!
The apartment faces west....wonderful for enjoying sundowners and the often magnificent sunsets.
You have the option, at additional cost, of more housekeeping services.
About Bequia: To find out more about this unspoilt, beautiful island, google bequiatourism.com. It's all there...
Go to Activities / Bequia This Week to get a flavor of nightlife. Expect more music and dancing during the winter season.
Bequia is less expensive than Barbados. There are inexpensive places to eat out.
There is no need to hire a vehicle, unless you do not like to walk. The island is small, and safe for walking. Taxis are fun and inexpensive - either a boat or back of a pick-up truck (although now there are a couple of air conditioned vans too!). And very cheap dollar (EC$) buses run the main route from harbour to airport-side (but not to the airport).
About travel to Bequia: Please feel free to email with any questions. Bequia remains special largely because it requires more effort to get there. As most tourists choose to return, most find it well worth it!
Money: The local currency is the Eastern Caribbean dollar ($EC). This is tied to the US dollar at 2.67. Local currency is easily obtained from the two holes in the wall / automatic tellers in the harbour - remember to tell your bank that you are traveling to St Vincent & The Grenadines before you leave home.
US dollars are always well received.
Almost all restaurants and shops take credit cards.
