We enjoy helping guests find their perfect vacation spot. We embrace and understand that your vacation experience needs to be unique and we are willing to cater to it. We are semi-retired, living in California's Bay area. Rick is an archaeologist. Darlene is a writer. We loved our condo in Maui from the minute we opened the door and felt the breeze off the ocean caress us. That was in 2005. We recently updated the condo.... a lot of work...but all the while we were adding personal touches, painting walls, shopping for new furnishings, installing contemporary fixtures, and fussing over every little detail, we were thinking of you. In every detail, we invited and welcome each and every one of you. Our wish is that you feel happy, comfy, relaxed and restored every day of your stay in our beachside Maui condo home.

It's location makes it feel private, even though you're in a high-rise. The sound of the ocean and the breeze rustling through the palms, the thrill of seeing whales or turtles just offshore, rainbows in the morning, gorgeous sunsets at's true paradise!

Just wanted to let you know that we really enjoyed your condo. Everything about it was great! We were able to rent paddleboards across the street. We kept them for the week, locking them up in the downstairs storage area, at night. There was plenty of parking available. The kids enjoyed tennis and ping pong in the evenings, after dinner. I sat outside, on the lanai, enjoying my coffee while watching the whales. I appreciated the little things in the condo, like spices for cooking, laundry soap for the laundry, hangers in the closet. We really had a comfortable time. Thank you!

Mighty Fine Time at Maui Beachfront condo

Fabulous. All we hoped for and more. Secure building, super comfy king sized bed, right near the beach, pool heated 88 degrees, great lounging couch, close to Lahaina and great local eats. Washer and dryer, a dream vacation actually.

The perfect condo for families with young children!

We stayed at this condo just recently (Dec 14-20/2014)we loved it!

Clean, good size kitchen, bathroom and living space. One king size bedroom for me and my husband and pullout sofa in the living room for my 2 girls (lots of room). Pool is clean and has rules to follow but good, BBQ in pool, fantastic! Darlene you are the best!, you always answer our questions from beginning to end, always friendly and very helpfull, we can't thank you enough! You made this holiday possible and very affordable for us! thanks for the great condo, flexibility and all of your tips. Girls really enjoyed snorkeling and I really appreciated the chairs and umbrella.

The airplain ride that you suggested from Oahu to Maui didn't work because they don't have flights on Sundays but instead we took the early flight with Airisland and it was cheaper.

The one way taxi from Kahalui Airport to your condo is 50 min ride and the charge $100.00 us. I recommend to your guest to rent a car instead!

We got a bit of a cloudy and rainy days but temperature was nice!

Thanks so much again and we'll be back! we'll be happy to reccommend your condo to our family and friends!

Excellent, private, quiet, comfortable, clean fabulous condo stay!!

My wife and I stayed at this condo for one week, in Nov 2014. As we viewed several condos to rent, we had several questions about this particular one. We asked for, and received answers very quickly.

One of the concerns was that being on the ground floor, we wondered how many people would be walking by our condo as we sat outside. The owner explained we would not be bothered by anyone, as this walkway in front went to a dead-end. It is large, comfortable, clean and nicely renovated. It is close to the ocean, but not directly on the beach.

Taking their answers at face value, we did not make a mistake in renting this one! We only saw 3 people walk by in the entire week! So, if privacy is what you want, this will do the trick!

If you want more people, just walk out the front door and go to the pool-side of the building!!

We had some specific requests as we rented this condo. Without going into specifics, suffice to say that the owners were as accommodating as they could be for us. We had a fabulous stay.

All sorts of equipment available, in the condo, for the beach. Food, restaurants, General store, fun rental stuff close by.

And, we never knew what we'd run into there!. One day, while looking out the lanai, we saw a "random" wedding (or, we think, a re-wedding!) taking place on the lawn! What a great way to finish our trip - as we had originally come to Maui for our son's wedding!

We would be pleased to rent this unit again, and recommend it to any of our friends.

The condo was very clean, great view from the lanai while eating in the morning. Love the lanai (its 1 story above hotel grounds) best of all free parking, free internet,and washer/ dryer in unit. This was the first time we used VRBO went very smooth. Will be back to rent this unit.

It's not part of our description and does make a difference in terms of the view and possible negative impressions about a ground-floor condo's desirability.

My husband and I just spent 10 days in this condo, it's one of our favorite places to stay on Maui. We love the area and the fact that the beach is only steps away from the lanai. I would definitely stay here again. The location is perfect because you can come into the condo from the beach without going thru the main lobby. The view is wonderful and the décor is beautiful and pleasant. I could tell much thought went into the décor. The owners and the maintenance man are wonderful!

Kahana is the place to 'live local' vs. staying in a hotel. Scenic and relaxed it invites you to make yourself at home. It is one of West Maui's true beachfront locations, 6 miles north of Lahaina, close to Kapalua Bay, Napili, and many other scenic, shopping, dining and sporting attractions. Free parking. Bus route runs along Lower Honoapiilani with a stop just outside the front door. Has a village feel with walkers and runners along L. Honoapiilani where the beach is in view. Local farmers market 2 miles away, across from the Honokowai Beach Park. Boss Frog's Dive and Surf Shop, to gear up for any kind of water sport, is in a shopping center down the block. Mile-long white sand beach for swimming with a coral reef offshore for snorkeling. Just steps from the back door. Kahana Grill and Maui Brewing Co. are across the street, for great food and, of course, locally brewed, award-winning ales and lagers. Sunsets are spectacular and part of the resort's tradition when torches are lighted and guests gather on the lawn facing the ocean...every night. Spotting whales, in season, is a popular past time and gentle sea turtles can usually be encountered while taking a swim.

PERFECT FOR INTER-ISLAND TRAVELERS! Kapalua West Maui commuter airport is less than 4 minutes away. Our owner rates are 30-60% better than the island-hopper airlines' package deals at the Royal Kahana.
