High ceilings, a spectacularly designed living room, an open kitchen facing broad windows and glass doors leading out to a sumptuous private two-level roof terrace.
All that and more is what you'll experience at this reasonably priced apartment in the heart of Washington, D.C. minutes from the Dupont Circle subway (the famously clean and efficient Metro).

I love renovating Victorian townhouses and turning them into contemporary residences for today's living standards.

Less than two miles from the White House and within walking distance to most of the things I like to do in the city.
This is an absolutely fabulous place in a great location with easy walking distance to different neighborhoods and historical sites. The listing and photos were very accurate and the property was beautifully decorated, very clean and well maintained and did not have a "rental feel". The bedrooms were located on separate floors with private bathrooms so there was lots of privacy. The apartment was very quiet with lots of sunlight and the decks were wonderful for entertaining. The only possible drawback -- if there was one -- were the stairs not only to access the property but also to get to the top floor bedroom. Having rented properties before, this was by far the best!
The three level condo is absolutely lovely. It is in great location just north of Dupont Circle, walking distance to metro, stores and restaurants. The rental has everything you need-you feel like you are visiting someone's home. The book shelves are full and the art work is amazing. We sat on the beautiful balcony for most of our meals. Caution, there are alot of stairs if you are traveling with someone who has hard time climbing them.
This is a wonderful Townhome, the walls are filled with great art, the kitchen is fully stocked and the linens are plentiful. The location couldn't be better, close to metro, buses, restaurants and grocery stores (Trader Joe's is my favorite). Thank you Mary for all your help, we would definitely recommend and return to this beautiful home.
We spent a week at this apartment last month and I can't say enough good things about it. It is large and bright, plenty of room for our family of four to spread out after long days sightseeing. The rooftop deck is lovely -- two levels, comfy furniture, just right for a glass of wine before dinner. Everything is sparkly clean. Linens and towels are luxurious. Beds are very comfortable. The location can't be beat. You can walk to either DuPont Circle or Adams Morgan, tons of places to eat, grab a coffee or a cupcake. Even with all the things to do right in the neighborhood, it was QUIET and we all slept well. All the sights you want are close by via Metro or taxi, or you can walk downhill to the mall and cab it back. DC cabs are relatively inexpensive and we found it was cheaper for four of us to get a taxi than to take the Metro. Easy walk to Phillips Gallery. Fun to look at all the embassies in the neighborhood. DuPont Circle is happening. Mary was a delightful long-distance hostess and was very helpful with advice about our visit. Easy to get in touch with and there is a local property manager as well should issues arise (none did on our visit). This is a terrific place to stay!
The apartment, it's location, and the rooftop deck were so great that on most days we skipped out early on sight seeing just to go back and enjoy it all! Great beds, sheets and towels. Space galore- lives like it's well over 2,000 square feet. Every bathroom is spacious and usable and the kitchen is plenty big and bright- not that we ever used it! Good coffee at the Jolt and Bolt around the corner- we ran our 12 year old over every morning- it's a busy and safe neighborhood. We also had good sandwiches at the market down 18th street. We ate at the Mexican restaurant across the street. Being from Austin our standards are pretty high when it comes to Mexican food and we weren't disappointed. Try the beef fajitas and a skinny margarita (with lots of extra limes). Thank you Mary for sharing your lovely home-we'd love to come back again!
We were fortunate enough to spent a week at this gorgeous townhouse. It was everything we were looking for in a home-away-from-home. The neighborhood was delightful with plenty of close bars, restaurants and grocery stores. There were three of us at the house: my wife and I and her 80-year old mother. Several earlier reviews mentioned the challenge of the stairs up to the penthouse. Frankly, it tired my mother-in-law a bit but she was so delighted to have a room to herself and the comfortable living space on the main floor. The stairs were not an issue at all. Travel around DC was also pretty easy -- taxis were plentiful or you can take a 10-minute walk to the subway. Finally, I loved the two-tier deck on the roof. While a BBQ grill would have been a plus, I really enjoyed sitting outside and reading a book. I'll be back .....
