Overview

Sanibel Island Condo Rental Photos and Description

Condo, 2 Bedrooms plus den, 2 Baths (Sleeps 6)

What are you waiting for? This is the brightest star in Pointe Santo! You'll love relaxing in paradise in our beautifully decorated home. Our 2 bedroom, 2 bath, plus den unit has it all and was remodeled in September, 2013. Granite countertops, kitchen backsplash, carpet, plantation shutters, sconce lighting, paint, front screen door, mirrors, lighting, shower doors in both baths,

and ceiling fans are all new! Most of the furniture, including on the lanai, is also new and is island style and very comfortable. Mattresses, sheets, bedspreads, towels, art, and flat screen tvs are new as of April 2013. A bonus room can be used as a den or an extra room for one of the kids. Our location near the elevator on the 3rd floor provides you with a beautiful view of the vast beach, glorious gulf, lush grounds, lagoon, and afternoon sun. Our assigned parking space is right by the elevator so no need to worry about hauling groceries or luggage a long distance. The remodeled kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops provides all of the comforts of home and is very well equipped with glassware, dishes, pots and pans, gadgets, and small appliances. Cooking a simple lunch or preparing a gourmet dinner is a cinch here. If you prefer, take advantage of one of the 9 gas grills located on the property. Cool day? No problem, the afternoon sun will warm you up. Warm day? Again, no worries as the 6 ceiling fans will keep you cool. Keep your luggage light and leave your hair dryers and beach towels at home. We provide them for you! Beach chairs, shelling tools, beach toys, and noodles are also provided. We have a large assortment of dvds, books, games, and puzzles for all ages to enjoy. We also provide an iHome so you can listen to music from your iPod, iPad, or iPhone. Why Pointe Santo? We are located on West Gulf Drive, at the Southern most tip of the island, situated on 10 acres of land with 600 feet of beach frontage. The beach is at its widest point on the island here, providing plentiful shells and stunning sunsets. These sunsets can't be beat and are a nightly ritual at Pointe Santo. Amenities at Pointe Santo include a heated fresh water pool (with daily adult swim hours of 9-10am and 4-5pm), lounge chairs on the beach, volleyball net on the beach, 2 shuffleboard courts, 2 tennis courts, and hot tub. The clubhouse is located by the pool and the on-site activities director launches the scheduled daily activities from here. A schedule of each week's programs for ages 4 to adult is posted here. Some typical activities include shell crafts, hair braiding, educational beach walks, bingo, board games, card games, ice cream socials, and movie night. Walk a short distance on the beach for a poolside lunch or cocktail. Why Sanibel? Frommer's Travel Guide ranked Sanibel as the #1 tourist destination in 2011, ahead of Paris and Bali! The world's largest travel site rated Sanibel in the top 10 islands in the United States saying ' Sanibel is the most family-friendly destination on our list.' Coastal Living Magazine ranked Sanibel 3rd on their list of 'Happiest Seaside Towns', ranking the island higher than LaJolla, CA, Kennebunkport, ME, Sag Harbour, NY, and Newport, RI among others. USA Today ranked Sanibel in the top 10 great places for families to escape the snow. U.S. News Travel rated Sanibel the 10th 'Best Beach in the World'. The only beach in the United States to make the list! The Huffiington Post lists Sanibel as one of 7 small islands within North America that 'should be on your radar' for a getaway. The League of American Bicyclists honored Sanibel by naming the island as a Bicycle Friendly Community, the highest ranking city in Florida! US News and World Report ranked Sanibel Island #4 for 'Best Family Beach Vacations', ranking it ahead of Hilton Head, Honolulu, US Virgin Island, and Cape Cod, giving it the highest ranking of any Florida beach. Factors cited included safe waters, kid friendly attractions and dining, and multigenerational appeal and overall accessibility. And most recently, Family Fun Magazine announced its travel awards, the result of polling 2000 families to rate their favorite destination. The #1 choice was Sanibel, "an island town with ample white beaches and seashells, and the power to chill out even the most high strung parents and kids". There are 15 miles of unspoiled beaches, 25 miles of bike paths, 50 types of fish, 230 species of birds, 250 varieties of shells, and 0 stop lights! Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge, with more than 7000 acres of wild lands and waters, and the Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum are must sees. For the active traveler, be sure to ride bikes along the 25 mile bike path that stretches the entire length of the island. Or, kayak through Tarpon Bay and see the wildlife. The Sanibel Farmers' Market is another 'must do'! It is every Sunday October-April. Our unit rents Saturday-Saturday, 7 night minimum.

Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

This is a great condo for families! The owners take great pride in furnishing and maintaining this condo so you may have a worry free and relaxing vacation! Their gift of hospitality is evident from the time you book this condo and throughout the entirety of your stay. Pointe Santo is a very family friendly condo complex with a nice beach (great fishing too), pool, kid's activities and an overall relaxed atmosphere. It's also close to many other amenities Sanibel has to offer. Our daughters, ages 10 & 12, enjoyed a morning at the Sanibel Sea School just down the beach from Pointe Santo. We loved Sanibel and Pointe Santo and have rebooked this condo for next year!

Outstanding

Beautiful condo, ideally situated on the beach of Sanibel. Tastefully done beach decor, combined with a spacious layout and well maintained beds/baths made this a truly relaxing week to remember. It has all the amenities you could want (up-to-date kitchen, tile shower, scenic lanai) and is just steps to the beach. The sunsets at Pointe Santo are truly something to behold in person. It was very clear from the moment we walked in that the owner takes great pride in the unit as everything was clean and organized. We prepared a meal for some friends that were staying at another unit nearby one night and found that we had all the cookware and utensils necessary. We look forward to making a return visit soon!

All around great experience!

  • 5 of 5

My husband, parents and myself visited Sanibel for the first time. It was a great experience. We were not yet in "high" season so it was not crowded. The condo was perfect. Spacious, well decorated, had everything that we needed. The kitchen was modern and easy to use the appliances. It was great having access to a washer and dryer, made coming back to reality a lot easier when I got home. The overall facility was laid out nicely, property was maintained well and you couldn't beat the location. While the weather wasn't totally cooperative we appreciated all the sun and sunsets we got.

This vacation was truly a vacation, we could be as active as we wanted or relax as well. We did go on a Captiva Cruise which was easy to get to, and fun. We also traveled down to the Everglades and went on a boat excursion at Everglades National Park(well worth the drive for the Mangrove tour). Had a great lunch at Havana Café. If bird watching and shelling are your interests this is the perfect place. We saw so much wildlife at Ding Darling and on the Island itself.

If you plan on cooking while down there I would suggest hitting the farmers market, that was one of my favorite experiences. Doc Fords was a fun atmosphere for dinner or catching a game as well at Sanibel Grille. We also enjoyed Timbers for a nice dinner. Pinocchio's was visited more than once for great ice cream.

Don't hesitate to rent this condo, the owner was easy to work with and the place itself was tremendous. This was definitely a hassle free vacation!

Owner's Response: So glad your first experience in Sanibel was so nice. I hope it's the first of many! You were certainly busy touring the area and sounds like you hit the highlights. I'm a big fan of the farmers' market too and am glad you got to experience it. Hope to have you back soon.

Great vacation

  • 5 of 5

Just got back from our first visit to Sanibel and we had a wonderful time. We loved the facility which is so well maintained, it was so quiet, and we loved having the gas grills on which to cook. The unit ws lovely and we ate all our meals on the lanai with wonderful views of the ocean and sunsets. Our young adult children loved biking all around the island and the birding at the resort and Ding Darling was really great. Plan to return and would stay at the same unit as it was great.

Great Unit

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time while enjoying a terrific condo. The unit was top notch and beautifully decorated. As soon as we walked inside, we knew we had made a great choice. Great view of the Gulf and great to sleep with the doors open to enjoy the sounds of the surf. We enjoyed the wildlife on island and made great use of all of the bike paths to explore the island.

Sanibel perfection

  • 5 of 5

We've been visiting Sanibel for several years, and have stayed at Pointe Santo for about 6 years. This was our first visit to this condo, and we LOVED it. Everything was even better than pictured! The condo is beautifully decorated, and so comfortable for our family. The owner/agency were so great to work with on our reservations. Pointe Santo is such a wonderful place to stay, and we highly recommend this condo - everything was perfect!
