I moved to Santa Barbara 6 years ago from Naples, Fl and still have my home there. The arts, cultural events,
outdoor living, daily beach walks, hikes in nearby trails, strolls in the many parks, and friendly people have made me love CA more every day. I am from Winston-Salem, NC, had a business in Charlotte, NC, now I am so happy in the Pagoda House and loved restoring this 1902 Grand Empress to her former glory.
It spoke to me and said , 'Please restore me, I was a Grand Empress in 1902 and have been neglected all my life.' The solid redwood oriental five red peaked roofs intrigued me, sitting on over a half acre of overgrown tropical gardens in the heart of beautiful Santa Barbara. It was a joy restoring her, and little did I know that I had a magical view when the trees were pruned. The home's redwood walls breathe, giving a feeling of serenity and warmth. The 6,400 square foot house is now brand new, just in an historical outside shell. I love the gardens and lights glowing in town. It is truly a unique historic property.
Riviera views and still short walk to State Street. World class restaurants and shops. The Santa Barbara Museum of Art. Situated on the coveted Riveria,
Walking distance to the Famous Mission and Rose Garden, Alice Keck Park with playground and Koi Pond, Library, wonderful Courthouse where you can climb the tower and see the City 360degree views, Arlington Theatre, Granda Theatre, Rocky Nock Park, downtown with gourmet restaurants, movie theaters, State St bars and fabulous shopping, drug stores, grocery stores, beaches, hiking trails and close to everything Santa Barbara has to offer
