Property wise, this waterfront property sits directly on Mullet Lake near Aloha State Park and has a private boat dock. The views are spectacular, especially at sunset. Situated on the east side of the lake, you get a fairly constant breeze that results in few if any flying insects pestering you. The cabin’s serene enough we left windows open during the “cool” August evenings. You can only see two neighboring cabins, one stays empty and the other serves as a part-time weekend house for the cabin owners. Thus, we experienced a great amount of privacy.
Cottage wise, this is a typical old-style cottage with two small bedrooms, a living room and an eat-in kitchen. The cottage is clean and comfortable and has enough kitchen gadgets that we didn’t really use any we brought with us. There is a front porch and a two-person swinging chair near the water and a grill in back of the home. Everything is on one level with easy accessibility.
Location wise, there is a large convenience/small grocery store at the entrance to the park less than half a mile from the cottage that had most everything we needed/wanted. Aloha, Michigan was very convenient to many places in less than half and hour but far enough away that we enjoyed privacy.
Management wise, the owners acted extremely polite and courteous with us and responded quickly to any questions. Upon meeting us they gave us a quick tour, a few pointers, and then let us relax and enjoy the property and our vacation.
