I'm a retired Captain of a maximum security prison in Wisconsin. My husband, Rick, is a retired supervisor of the Dodge County Sheriff's Department but he is still working a part time job as Police Chief of a small community. After I retired from the state I became more involved with our rental properties and managing other people's rentals as well. Both Rick and I grew up in small towns in Wisconsin and make our home in Beaver Dam, WI. He was the youngest person in the state to obtain his Master Cheese maker certification and worked in that field for 13 years before going into law enforcement. He can tell you much more than you'd ever care to know about cheese if given the chance. He was awarded his private pilot's license over 20 years ago and we've enjoyed many cross country trips over the years. Any time left is spent with our 3 grandchildren; Abbey, Johnny and Lilly.
A client suggested that we try Costa Rica ... and here we are! It's the only tropical place we've been to that doesn't break the bank. It's easy to get around, the fruit and vegetables grow year round, and there are so many things to do in the area.
We wanted a place that was close enough to the activities but quiet enough for relaxing and safety was big concern. The complex has only 25 units, built in a circle and facing each other. It's a kick sitting on the balcony enjoying a cold beverage and getting to know the neighbors. Our units are #3 on the ground floor and #16 on the 2nd floor. The photos you see on this site are of #16 but I promise that #3 is very nice as well.
