11 Angel Yard is a beautifully converted ground floor period apartment, forming part of an imaginative and select development. The property is set in a very pretty courtyard, tucked away off the street, in quite stunning surrounds. It has been finished to a very high standard with quality fittings in the kitchen and bathroom and provides an extremely comfortable abode for either short or longer breaks. The rooms are light and spacious and the apartment will accommodate four people comfortably.

There is a very well appointed en-suite bathroom off the main bedroom and also a separate shower room. The sitting room has an attractive fireplace which is the focal point of the room and there is a television with DVD player. Outside there is allocated parking for 1 car. The communal gardens are absolutely beautiful and enjoy far reaching views to Cowdray Ruins - a stunning backdrop.

All the shops in Midhurst are within walking distance and The Angel Restaurant/Hotel, which lies in front of this property, offers good food. This property is ideal for people wanting a quiet and relaxing break but also for those requiring a fantastic base to explore all the many and varied events and places of interest in the area.

We, family of 4 adults, had a wonderful stay at 11 Angel Yard in Midhurst. Apartment was nice and clean, had all the amenities one could wish for. We especially like the two bathrooms, as well as our own private parking space on the enclosed ground. And we felt very welcome being greeted by the owner and a small welcome basket.



The garden of the apartment complex is beautiful as well and could be used for relaxing coup of tea in the afternoon.



Tesco Express, a bakery and butcher shop are all within one minute walking distance, as well as some very nice restaurants. The town of Midhurst is a nice little town and Cowdray park ruins are again walking distance. Do not forget to check out the polo games at Cowdray park polo club. We were visiting end of July 2014 and were fortunate enough to be able to watch some gems (on weekday, for free).



While staying in Midhurst we explored the area and took advantage that Midhurst is very centrally located. Well within driving distance of approx. 1 hour one find some top attractions of Southern England such as Hampton Court palace (near London) Arundel Castle and Winchester Cathedral.



We would certainly come back here if we want to explore the area again.

A lovely place to stay

11 Angel Yard was the perfect place to stay for us.It has loads of character and is really comfortable.the location was great,right in the middle of town but very quite and relaxing. We soon found our favorite pub 'The Wheat Sheaf' that was only a five minute walk away.
My eight year old son was blown away by the remote control fire place and loved having the job of entering the security code for the gate.
I would recommend this cottage to anyone.

Very nice property, wonderful location

This is a really nice apartment (a modern conversion of an old property), tucked away behind a hotel on the main road through Midhurst. Despite that, it's very quiet location, has wonderful gardens, and easy (secured) parking. Best of all is the location - 30 seconds walk to the shops, post office, numerous restaurants and cafes. And ten minutes to the amazing Cowdray Ruins. The owners of the property met us personally and very kindly left us fresh flowers and a starter pack of food. Thoroughly recommended.

In recent years Midhurst was voted the most desirable place to live in the whole of the U.K. - some accolade! It is a quintessential English town, with period properties from a variety of eras lining the main streets and a collection of eclectic shops and restaurants making it even more appealing. Much of the town is still owned by the famous Cowdray Estate which hosts the polo season attracting visitors from all over the world. The famous Cowdray Ruins lie on the northern outskirts of the town and are within view from the gardens which are carefully landscaped and have several different spots to sit in. They consist of lawned areas interspersed with pretty flower borders and are a blaze of colour in the summer. The South Downs surround the town and for keen walkers there are so many beautiful places to explore. The old market town of Petworth lies just to the east, with Petworth House being an interesting place to visit, along with Petworth Park.

Goodwood lies just a few miles to the south and attracts visitors from all over the world to its famous motor sports events and horse racing events. Chichester lies about 11 miles south of Midhurst and has a world famous cathedral, which dominates the city. It also has the renowned Festival Theatre where some of the world's most famous actors perform. The south coast, with many picturesque beaches including West Wittering's sandy dunes, is about 6 miles of Chichester. Midhurst is easily accessible by road and there is a mainline train station to London at Haslemere just to the north.
