These are the other 2 listing numbers in the same complex by the same owner. If you have a larger group 2 or 3 units could be booked at the same time. There is plenty of free parking right in front of the unit on the street. We do not provide bicycles but there are several places in Coronado to rent them and you can store them in the courtyard. We recommend using a lock at all times. The beach is located about 3/4 of a mile away. It is about a 15 min walk or a 5 min car ride.
After living in Arizona for many years our family always enjoyed the cooler climate and activities that the San Diego area had to offer. We spent many vacations each summer at the Hotel Del and fell in love with all Coronado has to offer. We eventually bought a home here and moved full time in 2007.
Kim Dudley purchased this bungalow in 2008
This property has great Coronado charm. Originally built in the 1930's by John D. Spreckles, one of the developers of Coronado and later the owner of the Hotel Del. It offers a unique look at the history of residential properties in Coronado.
This Spanish Casita was all my family needed on their first vacation in San Diego. From the moment we began the process, Kim was extremely responsive and helpful. Once they arrived, we found all of the instructions within the rental, which made everything easier for my family. The location was great! My family was able to leave the island within minutes! They were also close enough to the business district and the beach. Great escape!!! My parents will definitely look to this rental when they return in the future.
The owner was easy to work with, place was small and clean. It was located on a very busy street and street noise went on day and night. There was no good light or comfortable chairs for reading. The location was convenient to both sides of the island.
Adorable Spanish casita in a fabulous neighborhood- spacious, clean, and close to the Ferry Landing. I would highly recommend! Two bedrooms is a plus!
We loved this cute little condo for our family of 4! We had family who spent about the same as we did at a Motel on the Island and our place was so much better! Would definitely stay here again.
We rented this apartment in Coronado. It was great. We were 10 minutes from the beach by car.
Coronado is also just a really great place. It does not have the big city feel of San Diego. My wife and I went for morning runs and it was beautiful.
The place itself is very nice and very clean. The space is older and a little smaller than we imagined, but we liked it. I contacted the owner several times to get all the plans straight and she was very easy to deal with and super responsive. She gave me her cell phone number and asked I call her if I needed anything.
We did not spend a ton of time in the apartment because we were sight seeing so much, but I would give the place a thumb's up.
The Good: The little apartment is adorable -- it's obvious that care and thoughtfulness went into making it a nice place. The king size bed is very comfortable and the linens are wonderful. It has a laundry facility and really nice beach chairs to use, too.
The Bad: All would have been awesome if it weren't for the smell of something dead. I called Kim immediately and she did her best to remedy the situation, including removing the rugs, bringing over air fresheners, and calling pest control, but nothing helped. The apartment sits over rented garage units, and I would guess something died in one of them, although nothing was found. The unit sits on 4th, one of the busiest streets in Coronado with base traffic exiting the island all day/night long. We needed super strength pilot ear plugs to sleep at night.
The Ugly: There were only two very chipped and broken/leaky coffee mugs to use -- once again, I called Kim and she brought over new ones. I would recommend replacing the recycled cardboard cereal box that holds the silverware with something nicer, as well as increasing the number of spoons.
Our stay would have been great if it weren't for the smell overshadowing the entire stay. Kim was very kind and helpful but there was really nothing more she could do at that point. However, she did know about the smell prior to our stay and could have called to give us a heads up. I would have never stayed there with that smell -- let alone paid the full rate.
Located in the center of the Coronado Village, this rental property is walking distance to all attractions in Coronado. A short walk can take you to the beach, Hotel Del Coronado, Ferry Landing, shopping and restaurants along Orange Ave.
