I moved to Annapolis from Philadelphia almost 20 years ago. I was attracted to the quaintness of the town, the beauty of the Chesapeake and laid back lifestyle that made weekends feel like a constant vacation. My work life lends itself to frequent travel so it was important for me to create a home environment that was extremely peaceful and inviting. The entire second floor is the master bedroom suite, renovated to offer privacy and a feeling as if you were in a tree-house. Similarly, I wanted to bring the outdoor in with the inclusion of field stone throughout the kitchen and expansive windows/sliders giving easy access to the outdoors. Sitting in an Adirondack chair by the fountain is the perfect place to start your day. I've enjoyed creating this unique and beautiful space and hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
My wife and I have rented this home in the past, and it never disappoints. The location is convenient and the layout of the home is perfect for couples or small families. The home includes a full array of very useful and convenient supplies and amenities,
We had six adults and two children stay at this lovely Annapolis property in December 2014. There was plenty of space to accommodate this large group especially in the common areas. Sandra was wonderful. She checked in via email on our arrival date to make sure everything was okay and even provided last minute suggestions for a doctor via email when my daughter was sick.
The location was great for us. It's an easy 3-block walk to the trolley stop to get to downtown Annapolis but more than twice we just walked all the way downtown and back. The neighborhood is nice and pleasant. I felt safe walking at night and it was great for walking our dog.
The home is very cozy, clean and outfitted with nice amenities. While we couldn't utilize the great outdoor patio space because it was too cold, this would be a great bonus in warmer months.
The property is just as described and I would definitely stay here again when visiting Annapolis.
Our family of two parents and two adult children, one of whom is married, along with our housebroken and crate-trained black lab, rented this home for the Thanksgiving weekend based on the VRBO listing. The home is lovely inside and out, homey and in a great location for traveling around Annapolis and the eastern shore. Everything was as listed, and there were no surprises. Instructions from the owner were very clear and she contacted us during the stay just to make sure all was well. We would rent this location again, and would rent any other property from this owner. Because of stairs up to the house, and to the second floor, and because of small changes in flooring level from room to room, this is not suitable for a wheelchair, however, one of our group does use a walker, and was able to manage with assistance on the front stairs.
We often visit Annapolis to see our son at The Academy and have rented many homes downtown. This home was so warm and beautifully appointed with all of the comforts of home. We loved the openness of the main floor and all the natural light. It's also in a great neighborhood just outside of main street so parking is easy. We can't wait to come back!!!
Can't say too much about our stay. The house was perfect for us and the patio area worked out perfectly for a small gathering. We would definitely rent this house again.
We rented this home for our annual high school girls weekend (coming from PA, NY and CT) and could not be more thrilled with the accommodations. The home is ideally situated within walking distance to downtown Annapolis and a convenient water taxi right down the street. The owner has lovely taste -- the house is adorable, immaculate, very well maintained and completely stocked with everything you could ever need. We enjoyed cocktails on the veranda and a fire on the back patio in the evening. The owner was especially responsive to questions and provided great recommendations on local activities and restaurants. Thank you for a fantastic, memorable weekend, we would love to return!
