San Francisco - SFO
Mill Valley Beerworks or 2am Club
Sausalito or Larkspur Ferries to SF
Our home is located in the Tamalpais Park section of Mill Valley, a quintessential Northern California town, and is centrally located to all Mill Valley has to offer. Mill Valley is located at the base of Mount Tamalpais, known for its many hiking and mountain biking trails, road biking and scenic vistas.
Our home is walking distance through quiet residential neighborhoods to Whole Foods (two actually) and Mill Valley’s charming downtown with its many restaurants, live theatres, music venues, movie theatre, coffee houses, bookstore, brewery, boutiques, gelato shop and market. Farmers' markets are twice a week. We often access nearby hiking and mountain biking trails without the need to drive. Access to the nearby Mill Valley Community Center with a large pool with a big slide and gym is available for a small fee (http://www.cityofmillvalley.org/Index.aspx?page=168). You can also bike to Sausalito to go kayaking or head out fishing or sailing, or continue on to bike across the Golden Gate Bridge. Marin County is one of the most prestigious and exclusive areas in the country. We are blessed with an abundance of open space and undeveloped land, as well as ready access to the culture of San Francisco.
Our home is also 4 miles to Muir Wood’s redwood forest as well as the scenic Marin Headlands, 7 miles to the Golden Gate Bridge to San Francisco, 14 miles to central San Francisco (or take the ferry from nearby Sausalito or Larkspur), 12 miles to Stinson Beach, 30 miles to Point Reyes and 35 miles to the start of Sonoma and Napa Valley vineyards.
If you’re up for a road trip, it’s 2.5 hours to Carmel and Monterey, 3 hours to Big Sur, 3.5 hours to Lake Tahoe, and 4.5 hours to Yosemite National Park.
