I was given the task of finding a place to spend a few days not far from Evansville IN for our group of high school friends" I found this home on VROB. I was impressed with it right off. I sent the link to my friends and they said rent it. I think I was the first person to ask to rent it and the owner was willing to rent it to my group of 10 women for 2 nights. We arrived a little early on the day of check in, but Marvin, the house manager, was there and allowed us to go,ahead and check in. The house was as advertised. It was perfect for our reunion. The pool was very nice and we used it a lot. The theater room was also used both nights. Marvin and the owner Linda were very good to work with. If we needed something they were quick to get it or fix it. We are planning on returning next year. Everyone enjoyed our stay. Thanks Marvin and Linda.

We just left this house and are glad to be gone. We agree totally with the next most recent review and wish we had seen it before we rented this house.
I would add that the linens are generally of poor quality and worn out, the kitchen cabinets are dirty and very unorganized inside and it needed a good Spring Cleaning about 5 years ago and still does.
We were looking forward to watching movies in the theater room and asked Marvin to get it working, but like the other review, were promised it would be done and was not.
If you like a clean well maintained home for your vacation, you won't like this one.
This property is poorly maintained and has obviously been neglected for many years. In addition, the property manager, Marvin, is difficult to get a hold of and obviously too busy to deal with any issues at the property. Our biggest issue was the non working pool bathroom that is advertised on the site. We were promised several times, for 2 months prior to our arrival, that this bathroom would be working. Very important since we were having an outdoor event w/30+ people (Marvin was fully aware of this before we finalized our rental agreement). Every day he promised someone would be there to fix the bathroom, every day no one showed up. Needless to say we did not have the use of this bathroom during our stay which was a major inconvenience for our event. Landscape at the property is a mess, he stated landscapers were coming to weed and pick up all the clippings from all around the house, again they never showed up during our entire 6 day stay. Needless to say, we ended up weeding ourselves before our event and even removing dead bird carcass by the front door we had told him about. The inside of the home is large with high ceilings, which had not had cob webs and bugs knocked down for some time, we ended up doing that before our guests came, as well as scrubbing walls where large marks were present and could be easily removed. With some effort and maintenance this could be a great place. Out by the pool there were pots of dead flowers, some we just moved, others we planted palms in which we purchased. Presenting this as a vacation property is misleading, vacation doesn't mean come work to make it presentable for your stay. When would contact Marvin about these issues, he would tell us that it would be taken care of tomorrow. Tomorrow never came until Friday morning, When he arrived with no warning and shut off our water at 7 am to do maintenance on the front fountain. Our guests in the house were unable to take showers or get ready for the day. When we asked him what was going on, he told us to read the contract, he could do maintenance at anytime. It was quite frustrating to say the least. Other issues include, dirty stained carpeting throughout, mouse traps everywhere inside the house, ceilings with obvious water damage, at least 10 light bulbs burnt out or missing, outside of house not maintained, I think you get the picture. Franklin is a beautiful area with lots of rental properties, this is one I would strongly not recommend.
THIS HOUSE WAS SO BEAUTIFUL! MORE THEN ENOUGH ROOM FOR ALL OF US. WE LOVED THE POOL, AND THE MEDIA ROOM, THATS WERE WE SPENT THE MOST TIME. WONDERFUL AND PEACEFUL PLACE. FRANKLIN TN, IS EASY ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLACES EVER.
We rented the home for a business trip and had executives from Arizona, Miami and Missouri. The home was clean and just as the photos described. We had a wonderful time making large dinners and enjoying sitting out by the pool that overlooks the lake. The pool table got quite a lot of use and we had a great time watching movies in the media room. Would definitely stay here again when in town!
Beautiful memories, wonderful location, and wishing I could give a 5*******! I can't wait to spend time there again at the pool. Treasured time with friends that we hadn't connected with in too long of a time. It was comfortable for all 3 couples and a teenager! Close enough for destination of Nashville, only decided Franklin is awesome.
This house exceeded all expectations! I was blown away as soon as we pulled in the roundabout driveway. Extremely well taken care of and clean. We loved the lake and pool as well as the awesome theatre with surround sound both inside and out. We WILL be staying there again! I can't wait to get back out there and so close to Nashville and breweries for a night out on the town. Owner was very professional and accommodating to all our needs. 5 stars are not enough!
9 acres of beautiful property, 5800 sq ft. house
with 6 acre stocked lake for fishing....your own private resort in the heartland of Williamson County.
Today, Franklin is one of the wealthiest cities in one of the wealthiest counties in the United States. The 2010 Census lists the City's population at 62,487. This makes us the 9th largest city in Tennessee and one of the fastest growing.
Franklin is a unique blend of history and progress. You'll find the best of both worlds here: small-town charm and big-city sophistication. There are fascinating Civil War sites and museums, magnificent Antebellum and Victorian homes - plus our thriving downtown shopping area and the Cool Springs Galleria, unique dining and entertainment, and wonderful festivals. Franklin has grown from a very small, agricultural community into a strong blend of residential, commercial and corporate citizens.
