100 YR OLD LUXURY HOME IN LEGENDARY LEIPER'S FORK - SHORT WALK TO VILLAGE

Nashville House Rental Photos and Description

4 Bedrooms, 4 Bathrooms, (Sleeps 10)

Leiper's Fork Inn - a Shelter + Roost property

We only rent to one person/group at one time, not by individual rooms.

Two 100 year old houses were rescued and moved to Leiper's Fork from Franklin, Tennessee. They were combined to create the charming Leiper's Fork Inn. The Inn is located in Leiper's Fork Village, eight miles south of Franklin, twenty six miles south of Nashville and is within walking distance to art galleries, antique stores, boutiques, a rare book store and a handful of restaurants. This beautiful home sits on close to three acres with almost 3000 sq feet of living space. Relax in front of one of the three fireplaces, cook a family meal in the gourmet kitchen that features granite counter tops, & Bosch stainless steel appliances, gather around the outdoor fire pit or enjoy the outdoor barn / pavilion that features six large barn doors, the perfect setting for a candlelit dinner or event. Leiper's Fork Inn is your home away from home. Two bedroom suites include screened in sitting porches that overlook the quaint village of Leiper's Fork, the living room provides a perfect gathering spot for evening conversations, games and puzzles, while the formal dining room provides the setting for a nice meal. A one room cottage set back amongst the trees is also available for artists wanting to escape to paint, read or write.

Leiper's Fork Inn is located in legendary Leiper's Fork, just a short scenic 30 minute drive south of Nashville in the best community in the area. This is where the stars live and breathe. The close proximity makes it a perfect getaway for recording artists and entertainment professionals looking for peace and quiet during their stay in Nashville.

Leipers Fork is one of those places where you feel instantly at home and don't want to leave.

Stay long enough and you're bound to come across some of them who didn't: the Nashville Record Producer - now Grocer and owner of Puckett's, the Manhatten Mall Developer - now farmer, restauranteur and owner of Joe Natural's and the San Francisco Interior Design Firm Buyer - now Antique Dealer and owner of Serenite Maison. We encourage you to explore and experience the charm and character of what is known as Leipers Fork.

This home is ideal for a romantic getaway, weekend with friends, escape for the whole family, artist / writer's retreat, special events and corporate retreats. Whatever that it may be that you are looking for, you'll most likely find it here.

Leiper's Fork Inn truly has a character all it's own... a story to be told, memories to be made... Sit back, relax and enjoy.

We believe in make believe. We love to live. We live to create. We believe family are the friends you choose. We like to think the more you push the elevator button the faster it comes. We love small towns. We still believe a handshake and a smile mean something. We prefer taking the scenic route. We laugh. We hug. We dream. We find inspiration everywhere. We collect moments. We under promise. We over deliver.

Sarah purchased this house in 2013

We loved not only the location of this property, but the story behind it. Two 100 year old houses were rescued and moved to Leiper's Fork from Franklin, Tennessee. They were combined to create the charming Leiper's Fork Inn.

In the beginning of 2011, we stumbled upon Leiper's Fork by pure chance, it was supposed to be a stopover, a rest stop, on our way to the next destination. It's not everyday we're moved by a person, a place, or an entire town. But we were, and we listened. We spent a year looking at more than 50 homes across Leiper's Fork and Franklin, until we finally made an offer on what would eventually become 'Farmhouse in the Fork'. Since we still lived in California, we decided to make the house available to the occasional guest or short-term renter when we weren't there. Before we knew it people started renting the Farmhouse and they kept coming back. And when their friends and families started contacting us wanting the same experience, we knew we were doing something right. Before we knew it one property turned into two, two turned into four and now Shelter + Roost offers five distinct properties to choose from. Not just any homes, but ones we've spent months and even years searching for. Every property is a reflection of us, our personality, and the places we love to stay. They're home.

With two children and a family owned baby products company as our day job, people often ask us why we don't turn things over to a property manager. The reason? We truly enjoy the relationships we make with our guests. We're not a hotel, we've opened up our homes to you, for you, to enjoy with family and friends. Besides the late nights spent answering emails while the kids sleep or the hours upon hours we spend making sure everything's perfect for our guests, there's something so fulfilling about sharing our properties with others. It's the stories we hear from them, the memories they make and the time they share together in our homes that make us smile.

After Christmas Family Get-a-way

I would definitely recommend this home. It is spacious, comfortable and very nicely appointed. The family room area is very comfortable with cushy seating and an additional table to play games. The kitchen is a very nicely appointed gourmet kitchen with an amazing prep table. For our family of six adults we really needed an additional shower instead of two powder rooms. The room with a pull-out sofa was uncomfortable for sleeping. Our preference would have been to have a regular queen size bed in that room. From the pictures it appears the property is secluded, however, upon arriving we found the house to be right on a busy road. It is within walking distance to the little village with charming shops and restaurants. The barn is awesome - would be great for parties and receptions. The little cottage is very cute but it has no heat or running water. A big plus - it is pet-friendly. Overall, I would certainly recommend this beautiful historic home.

Beautiful home. We chose this location because we wanted a home close to Nashville but far enough away to feel removed from the big city chaos. This home was perfect for that. Did multiple day trips and always looked forward to coming back to this quiet setting at the end of the day.

I wanted to take the time to write you an email and thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home. Our family had a wonderful time together celebrating my husband's birthday. We would have been content never leaving the house! I hope that we can make a tradition out of this and look forward to returning next year, maybe even sooner. Thank you again for all of your help and recommendations. You truly have a gem of a home and we appreciate everything you did for us.

We loved every minute!

This property is spectacular! We have stayed at many homes through vrbo, but this is by far our favorite! Not only is the location perfect - the village is a block or so away and you can walk to Puckett's for dinner and live music or shop in of of the many of the town's one of a kind stores. This house sits on a very large lot and has a tree swing, which our children loved. There were so many different relaxing spots in the home. Comfy couches to watch a movie in, a dining room with a fireplace, and our favorite the screened in porches! We sat out there forever listening to the birds outside and looking out over the rolling grass towards the village. The owners, Sarah and Michael were great to deal with and provided everything we needed. They checked in with us to make sure we arrived safely and to see if we had any questions. Such sweet people to share such a beautiful and well stocked home with us. We can't wait to return!

This HUGE house was just perfect for our family. The home is very nicely decorated, sparkling clean, and cozy. The owners thought of every amenity you may need, especially in the fully-equipped kitchen. We really enjoyed walking around the yard, playing on the swing, and sitting on the sun porches in the morning. It is a beautiful drive from Leiper's Fork to Nashville, and the town of Leiper's Fork is so peaceful. I would not pass up an opportunity to stay here again!
