Welcome to Twin Bear Cottage, a one of a kind Sierra Style Cottage in the scenic Big Bear Mountains. This is the perfect location for any vacation, whether you are joined by family, a group of friends, or having a romantic getaway. As owner of Twin Bear Cottage, my goal is to exceed your expectations while making you feel at home in a quiet, relaxing, and serene place where you can enjoy the exciting year round activities that Big Bear has to offer. You will not be disappointed!

This wonderful cabin has a prime location in beautiful Big Bear City. It is a short drive (5-8 minutes) to both Big Bear Lake and Snow Summit Ski Resort, and just blocks from the main Highways. Close enough to experience all that Big Bear has to offer, yet far away enough to truly enjoy the peace and privacy of this secluded area, while escaping the hustle, bustle, and traffic of city life.

Twin Bear Cottage is easy to locate and access year round. During the winter snow season, the main street and surrounding streets are plowed daily for easy and safe vehicle traffic. The Cottage is built on flat land and the driveway is on level, paved asphalt, which will allow easy parking for any vehicle in any weather. The driveway is wide and long with enough space to park 3-4 vehicles, including any toys you choose to bring: RV, Boat, Jet Skis, etc. There is also additional street parking in front of the Cottage that will fit 1-2 more vehicles. Easy accessibility and ample parking space ensures that all guests can bring along family, friends, and toys with ease, and fully enjoy their stay at Twin Bear Cottage.

Twin Bear Cottage gives you a true cabin feel and enchanted experience with its Knotty Pine interior and Beamed Ceilings. The cabin also contains a Newer Heater and a Wood Burning Fireplace surrounded by Brick, which creates a comfortable atmosphere for relaxation at the end of the day.

The cozy living room provides seating for 7 and includes a 50-inch plasma flat screen television. We offer Free Cable, with many high definition channels. A blue ray DVD player with free instant access to Netflix is included. In addition, the cabin provides free high speed wireless internet.

The Master Bedroom includes a huge King Size bed that will comfortably sleep up to 3 people. The guest bedroom sleeps 4 people, and includes 2 twin size beds and 1 set of bunk beds.

I understand that many guests may not be accustomed to the frigid, yet wonderful, Big Bear Winter weather. As an additional courtesy, I have provided 5 electric heating blankets (one for each bed) and 2 space heaters to ensure that all guests stay warm and comfortable. The house also has a wall heating system that blows heat from both sides and is controlled by a digital wall thermostat. And, of course, a cabin would not be complete without a cozy wood-burning fireplace to curl up in front of.

Twin Bear Cottage can be enjoyed year round. The back yard includes a bench, chairs, and a picnic table, as well as a Charcoal BBQ Grill. At this scenic location, you will be able to enjoy the views of Gold Mountain from the fenced backyard.

Clean sheets and blankets are provided, along with bath towels, hand soap, and dish soap. The kitchen is stocked with new cookware and utensils, cups/glasses, dishes, a coffee maker, coffee, creamer and spices.

I am dedicated to making this place the ultimate Big Bear experience for my guests and would like for each and every one of you to feel at home, and want to return in the near future. In order to accomplish that, your feedback and reviews are essential! Any returning Guest that has written a review on VRBO about their previous stay at Twin Bear Cottage will receive $10 off of their next reservation. Also, any guests recommended by a previous guest that has written a review on VRBO will receive $10 off of their reservation.

RULES

NO PETS and NO SMOKING inside the Cabin. A Fully Refundable $200 security deposit is required at reservation to replace any missing or damaged items.  Cabin Inventory is done prior to guest arrival and after guest check out. I encourage you to enjoy your stay at Twin Bear Cottage, but please be respectful of my neighbors, some of whom are full time residents of this wonderful community, and do not disturb their peace and privacy.

About Jay Williams

My name is Jay, and I purchased this charming cabin in February 2013 as a place to come relax and escape the city and busy work life. I have an identical twin brother, and we have been inseparable throughout our lives; sharing a majority of both our childhood and adult memories together. This inspired me to call my new home 'Twin Bear Cottage.' As a child, my family and I took several trips a year to Big Bear and our fondest childhood memories were created in this area. Unfortunately, I am not Peter Pan, I eventually grew up and the responsibilities of adult life, including College (USC FIGHT ON!!) and Work, left little time for vacation. This nostalgic Cabin allows me to relive some of those wonderful childhood memories and create new ones with my friends and family. Big Bear is a beautiful place and has a lot to offer year round. I truly believe that you can come to Big Bear any month of the year and have the time of your life. Skiing, Snowboarding, Hiking, Fishing, Jet Skiing; I have created many memories in these mountains and I would like to open up my home to you so that you can create memories of your own that will last a lifetime.

Why Jay Williams chose Big Bear City

After looking at many houses in the area, I chose this Cabin because of it's location, beauty, uniqueness, and character that the other places just didn't have. There was a special quality about this cabin. When I first saw the outside of the Cabin, I was impressed, and when I walked inside, I was amazed. I immediately knew this was the one. The rest as they say is history. I look forward to having many great times at this incredible Cabin and sharing them with my friends and family. I also look forward to sharing my Cabin with my guests. The thought that this special place will be engrained in the memories of many wonderful people for a lifetime brings me great joy.

Perfect cabin, perfect for groups

  • 5 of 5

My husband and our friends spent a weekend here for some snowboarding action. It was too bad it was almost 80 degrees out, but nonetheless we had a great time. We were completely satisfied with our stay. The cabin was cozy and provided everything we needed. Jay, the homeowner, was always fast to answer any questions or address concerns we had. His instructions were simple and straight forward. Great for families or groups of 7, they'll be plenty of space of everyone. I would definitely book this place again.

Cute & cozy cabin

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 spent President's Day weekend at this cute cabin, which is located in a quiet residential area. Very convenient location - it was an easy 5 minute drive to the market (Vons & Stater Bros) and another 5-10 minutes to Snow Summit where we spent our days skiing. The cabin was clean, comfortable and nicely furnished, and had everything we needed for our stay. The owner was responsive to our questions and made the whole process of renting very easy. I would definitely recommend this place, and will plan to stay here if we vacation in Big Bear again.

Family Friendly

  • 5 of 5

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I have two daughters, 3yr and 19mo. They both loved the stuffed animals that were welcoming them in one of the rooms. The oldest kept talking about the cabin/market-looking shed in the back and called it "Oken's Trading Post" from Frozen. We all were comfortable and would return if we decide to have another vacation in Big Bear.

Great Cozy Cottage!

  • 5 of 5

This was actually our second time here, the first was about 8 years ago but it must have been owned by another person at the time. We thought the VRBO pictures looked familiar, we are so happy we booked it again because our first time here was so special. First, the cabin itself is exactly as pictured in the VRBO page. We use VRBO a lot and sometimes this is not exactly true, but it is in this case so you can rest assured that what you see is what you get. Bedrooms are cozy and big (master has a KING sized bed!) and the rest of the cabin is clean, comfortable, and woodsy - perfect for a mountain retreat. We were nice and warm and did not need to use the provided space heaters. The kitchen was stocked well enough for us to cook two dinners and simple breakfasts, very much appreciated. The flat screen TV was easy to use and the instructions left by Jay were more than adequate for our stay. As for the owner, Jay, he is very professional, organized, and easy to contact and get information from. He made the whole process simple and was also friendly. What more could you want? We highly recommend this place for a family retreat or even just a couple's retreat. You won't be disappointed! Before I forget, location to town is really close also, you are literally a few minutes away from restaurants, grocery stores, banks, anything you could want, really. All in all a great place to stay and I'm sure we will be back!
