I'm from Vancouver & my wife is from Denmark. We live, work and raise our two wonderful children in the Main Street / Mt. Pleasant area of Vancouver.

Jodie Graham purchased this house in 2012

After 7 years of searching in the Okanagan, Whistler, Sunshine Coast and Vancouver Island for a second home where we could decompress, rejuvenate and make life-long family memories, we stumbled across Naramata Village. The minute we drove into this little lakeside community, we knew this was the sanctuary we had been searching for. Shortly thereafter, this lovely home appeared... and the rest is history!

We fell in love with this particular home- not for any one reason (other than it's in The Village) but for the entire property as a whole. As soon as we walked through the front gate we were greeted by a gorgeous cherry tree that was loaded with ripe cherries (it took us a while to get inside, they were so amazing). At the same time, both our children ran to the play structure and started climbing, swinging and sliding (they had no interest in going inside). Once we made our way through the front door and into the open living/dining/kitchen area, we knew we had found our vacation home. We love that there are three bedrooms on the main level with two bathrooms (one being a master ensuite) and the other having a deep soaker tub. With 2 bedrooms and another bathroom downstairs, we decided to make one room a guest-room to accommodate couples and the other into a bunk-room. The added bonus downstairs is the large rec room where everyone can hang out and watch a movie on Netflix, play Wii or have a foosball tournament.

PERFECT HOUSE AND LOCATION!

  • 5 of 5
We stayed here with two families of four - 4 adults and 4 children, ages 8 to 11. It was a pleasure dealing with Jodie and the house was just as advertised. The place was spacious, comfortably furnished and had high quality appliances. We loved the BBQ, bocce in the backyard, playing foosball and even a movie night. The outdoor furniture on the deck was a great place for the adults to relax under the stars with a glass of wine after the kids went to bed. The layout of the place was great and we never once felt cramped.

The house was a reasonably short walk to Manitou Park Beach and we made several trips there a day (after breakfast, then afternoon, then after dinner). Plus there is a school around the corner (75m from the house) which has a playground and tennis court.

I would definitely book this cottage again and would unhesitatingly recommend it to others.

RELAXING HOME IN A FRIENDLY NEIGHBOURHOOD

  • 4 of 5
Myself and six senior girlfriends spent a delightful weekend in this house. It was wonderful to have many single beds, all of which were very comfortable. We loved the 2 outdoor patio spaces. What really made the weekend for us, was the friendly welcoming neighbours. We had a couple of suggestions for the owner after our weekend. He accepted our recommendations with gratitude and said he would make them happen. The owner was great to deal with both before and after our stay. Lovely experience!

PERFECT HOMEBASE FOR WINE TOURING & CYCLING!

Perfect homebase for wine touring & cycling!
  • 5 of 5
We visited Naramata for a 3 night girls getaway. There were 6 women on our trip and the cottage provided plenty space for us. We each had our own bed, super comfy with great linens (even the bunks). The kitchen was incredibly well stocked. We ate in two evenings and took advantage of the outdoor grill then went out to a winery for the third night. Cottage is a perfect spot to base yourself out of for a road cycling trip which was our purpose for visiting. Riding and of course the wineries which are plentiful along the Naramata bench road leading into Penticton.

Owner's Response: I agree, the location really is a perfect "home base" for exploring the area and enjoying all the wineries on the bench. Nice to hear you had a great time.

FANTASTIC WEEKEND IN THE WINE COUNTRY

  • 5 of 5
The Graham Family Cottage was the perfect place for us to stay in BC's Beautiful Naramata Wine region. It was close to everything we needed and set in a private and quiet location within a short, easy walk to the lake, parks, shops and restaurants. We had an amazing gourmet meal at the historic Naramata Inn and Spa, which is only a 5 minute walk from the house and uses locally sourced ingredients from within 100 miles so you know everything is fresh and local. If you like to cook the gourmet kitchen has everything you need, and the open concept allows a large group to gather without feeling crowded. The large fenced yard is private and perfect for kids to play without parents worrying about them. My favourite place was the large deck off the kitchen where I would relax at the end of the day with a fine glass of wine. The bedrooms were clean and well furnished for both adults and kids, with tons of extra space and bedrooms in the fully finished basement for another entire family. The rec room downstairs is perfect for the kids to play foosball or watch a movie while the adults enjoy peace and quiet upstairs. Lesser known than the major wine areas of the Okanogan, Naramata is my favourite for the quality of wine and the fun and artsy vibe of the area and its welcoming residents. Once you settle in you won't want to leave, and the Graham's cottage made us feel like locals with our own private getaway. You won't be disappointed!

PERFECT PLACE TO STAY!

  • 5 of 5
We recently rented the Family Cottage in Naramata while attending a wedding nearby. The house was just as the pictures showed, very clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. The open kitchen, dining room and living room was great for time spent inside and there were also two spots to sit outside. We were travelling with a 10 month old and the place could not have been better for her. Lots of toys tucked away in a couple of rooms and a fun swing set/slide outside and everything was baby-proofed already! Lots of space, and even with 5 of us, we had plenty of room. The house was near many good wineries, shops and parks (lots of places to easily walk to). We would highly recommend this property if you are looking for somewhere to stay.

IDEAL VACATION HOME IN AN IDEAL SETTING

  • 5 of 5
Nothing says "vacation" like this vacation home in Naramata! This house is perfectly situated within a short walk from the lake; close the wineries on the Naramata bench lands; in a small town with the necessary conveniences; but far enough away from the big city to feel like a true vacation!

The house itself has all the amenities we desired, from a great kids play area, large kitchen and flat screen TVs to a king size bed.

We've already booked our vacation for next year!
