Bermuda Bay’ is the hidden gem in the St. Petersburg area. With it’s private sand beach, lush landscaping and old Florida charm, it offers a quiet escape from the more touristy hotel strip and the bustling atmosphere of St. Petersburg.
The 2-storey buildings are pink and the foliage - flowers are abundant. Two heated pools and beachfront huts - you can relax the day away until the sun sets directly across the bay - sunsets that usually fill the sky with amazing colours!! The people are warm and friendly, and most visitors return annually to these relationships.
Bermuda Bay offers a secure gated community with free parking, a private tidal beach (lots of shells), putting green, and the beachfront recreation area with geothermal heated pool, hot tub, sun decks and club house. Play tennis day or night or walk around the acres of our property, including a lovely old oak forest with trail.
We host wonderful events, if you are looking to socialize – theme parties, card nights, wine and cheese pot lucks. Everyone gathers on the beach with a ‘beverage’ to watch the flaming sun sink into the ocean. Beach life here is casual and relaxed – you can bring your beer/wine to the pool and beach.
Our beach front upstairs unit is located just 50 yards from the sandy beach, and your screened in porch offers a ocean view. You will love the huge variety of shore birds, including pelicans, spoonbills, herons and egrets. Dolphins visit daily (sometimes manatee), and if you kayak, they come very close to your boat. We provide beach chairs, use the huts and benches provided or wade right out into the bay and fish for sea trout, redfish and snook.
There is a queen size bed in the sunny bedroom and a double hide-a-bed in the living room for guests.
The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and has all upgraded Whirlpool appliances. There is a large flat-screen TV in the living room.
The screened in porch is like another room, with seating for dining and ‘ocean gazing’.
