Mon Abri is a luxurious, spacious bungalow, with beautiful private gardens. Located in the charming village of Hemingby. Perfect for exploring the Lincolnshire Wolds, its market towns, coastal resorts and the magnificent city of Lincoln. All entry doors to the property are suitable for wheelchair access. The dining kitchen is fully equipped to the highest standard. A spacious dining room has patio doors to the large private gardens. The comfortable lounge is fitted with TV/DVD player and HiFi system. There are two double bedrooms each with fitted wardrobes and one with a wall mounted TV. The bathroom contains a toilet, full sized bath and a walk-in shower. Outside there is a paved patio with table and chairs, a swing seat and BBQ.

Comfortable, clean, convenient

I stayed here for the week with my parents and we had a lovely time. The bungalow is beautifully presented and exactly as described in the listing. We were met by the wonderful Malcolm who showed us round the house and his wonderful garden, full of goodies. We choose the bungalow so we could meet my nephew who is studying at university and we was able to visit that lovely cathedral town as well as explore the local area. Hemingby is close to Horncastle a friendly little town however we also liked Spilsby which is also close. We went to the cinema or Kinema in Woodhall Spa which is a must. We had wonderful Sunday lunch in Tealby a little further afield but worth the drive.
The bungalow is very well equiped for a totally self catering holiday which was what we wanted however it is close by many resturants too.
Thank you Malcolm for our lovely holiday, I hope we will meet you again.

A beautiful spacious bungalow with gorgeous surroundings, on arrival was greeted by the owner who showed us around and left us everything we needed for a much needed hot drink and snack, this is a truly wonderful and idyllic holiday home, with everything you need, you will not be disappointed with anything, just wish we could of stayed longer

What a wonderful bungalow.

This bungalow is everything you could wish for and more. The garden and surroundings are beautiful and well maintained aswell as the bungalow itself. There is nothing missed in this property to disrupt your stay as it has everything you could think of. The property is accessible and easy to get round if you are a wheelchair user but the stoney driveway can be a bit of a nusience. The bathroom is also well equipt but could do with a handrail inside the shower.
The owner was very friendly and welcoming and on the day of arrival had left us fresh bread, lincolnshire plum loaf, milk and home grown tomatoes, which were all enjoyed. The owner shared his fresh vegetables from his garden which were the best vegetables tasted and enjoyed by everyone.
The bungalow is a good base to explore from and is close to Skegness, Cleethorpes and Maplethorpe which are all worth a visit, the little town of Horncastle is also worth a visit, even if it is just to go to the bakery to get the lincolnshire plum loaf.
I would definately recommend this property to everyone and we are hoping to go back and visit again in the future.
We have wonderful memories of the week spent at this property.

A perfect place to relax and unwind.

As we arrived we received a warm welcome from the owner Malcolm. He took us around the property and explained all the facilities.The location was at the end of a quiet lane so while relaxing in the well maintained garden it was peaceful, enabling us to unwind in the warm weather. The bungalow itself was clean and in good order and had all the facilities it stated in the description. Due to one of our party having restricted mobility this bungalow was more than suitable, with its wider doors and hallway for wheelchair access and a fantastic walk in shower which was definitely over used during our stay.
We would certainly recommend this property to both able and disabled. And we will be returning soon when we need to unwind from daily stress.

Lincolnshire Paradise

If there was a 6* rating, we would give it. It had everything we wished for and more. The spacious bungalow was clean and very well maintained, comfy furniture and beds, and well equipped.
Malcolm greeted our 2 week stay with a welcome package, eggs from his hens, and all the fresh fruit and veg we wanted from his amazing garden which reminded us of how things tasted years ago. Even the grass outside was like velvet under your feet.
Malcolm is a lovely man and it was good to know he was just next door if you needed him.
Good village pub in Hemingby - just a short walk across field and through churchyard. Good food at the Bluebell Inn, Burghley House well worth a visit, enjoyed Lincoln - cathedral and castle. Loved the area, so much to see and the aviation history fantastic. The 2 weeks of glorious sunshine was a bonus.

We wouldn't hesitate in recommending this property to family and friends, one of the best we've stayed in.

The quiet village of Hemingby is seated on the edge of the Linconlshire Wolds. The village is ideally situated to offer the holiday maker a variety of holiday experiences. The area has many lovely walks and cycle rides for all abilities. Louth and Horncastle, the closest market towns have interesting shopping areas, with a choice of supermarkets, numerous antique shops and a large selection of cafes and restaurants. Woodhall Spa, a short drive away,houses the Dambusters Memorial and at Coningsby the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. The city of Lincoln with its magnificent Cathedral and Castle, its narrow cobbled streets and large shopping area is ideal for a day visit. Towards the coast, Skegness and Mablethorpe provide all the fun of the traditional seaside. In the winter months there is the unique opportunity to see the grey seal colony at Donna Nook. There are often over 1000 seals and pups at the colony near North Somercotes.
