Three Mile Lodge is a intriguing property located 3 miles from Nelson City, a southern exposure on the north shore of pristine Kootenay Lake in beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
It is a majestic log post and beam structure that can accommodate a larger number of guests. The open floor plan allows for stunning panoramic views of the lake and mountains. This very comfortable residence possesses a unique rustic grace. It features fine woodwork aside rough hewn logs with two outstanding and artful river stone fireplaces in the main room (one with fountain) and stained glass windows. Why Tim McGauley chose Nelson
Three Mile Lodge has the unique feature of being located lakeside in the middle of a quiet neighbourhood cove which allows for a undisturbed gorgeous and panoramic views of the lake and uninhabited distant shore. It is noticeably private in that our lakeside neighbour's houses are screened from view by the dense bushes and trees separating us.
While being able to enjoy such peaceful vistas, the Lodge has quick access to the highway to the city with an easy level entrance and parking, which is particularly convenient in the ski season. The scenic drive to Nelson City from the Lodge takes only 6-7 minutes while it is on the way to golf courses in both directions which makes it a very convenient location indeed.

The grounds then wind down towards the lake to a large flat grassy area suitable for exercise or activities like net games. The lake is a delight; clear, clean, wide and long and relatively sparsely populated by motor boaters. It is enjoyably swimmable through the summer heat.
