Luxury 5* Chalet in Prime Position. 5 Bedrooms/5 bathrooms,Hot Tub.

Chalet Maretse is a very popular luxury self catered chalet sleeping 10 in considerable comfort in a much sought after position in Haute Nendaz. Outside there is a large garden & patio area with a hot tub that has stunning mountain views and is the perfect place to relax after a days skiing!

Each of the 5 large bedrooms have plently of storage and they also have their own stylish & modern bathrooms with power showers. The Master Bedroom has the addition of a large bath. There is underfloor heating throughout the chalet making it cosy & welcoming after a days skiing.

The chalet has been carefully designed to meet the demands of todays more discerning guests with its stunning views of the surrounding mountains, and the convenience of being situated at the bottom of a Private Road just 5 minutes walk from the Ski Lift, Rentals Outlets, Shops, Bars, Restaurants, and Village centre.

Our guests have been delighted with the large exposed wooden beamed ceilings, comfortable leather sofas and lovely open fire. Logs for the fire are provided at no extra charge.

A large flat screen TV in the lounge has Full Sky Sports & Movie Channels/DVD, and there are another 2 flat screen TVs in 2 of the bedrooms plus a Play Station 3 which has latest films downloaded for children. We also have Bose Sound System & CDs in the open plan dining room/lounge.

To also amuse the children we have Dvds,Play Station 3, books, toys and for the winter there are sledges in the large garage.

The kitchen is very well equipped with all modern appliances including 2 fridge/freezers, (a large one in the garage), dishwasher, microwave, toaster, fondue set, food processor, hand whisk & raclette appliance. There are also plenty of cooking utensils.

Large bath towels and hand towels are provided as well as hairdryers & slippers . If required a Zbed, travel cot and high chair are available . There is also a separate house toilet on the lounge/dining room area.

Beds are all made ready for your arrival, and if wished the local bakery will deliver fresh bread & croissants to the front door each morning.

There is a lock up garage and parking for another 2 cars on the property.

Nendaz is at the centre of the Four Valleys and shares its mountain with Verbier, Siviez, Thyon and Veysonnaz, with access to 412km of downhill skiing . Mont fort offers spectacular skiing at 3330m and the view from here is stunning as it is possible to see the French and Italian Alps.

In Summer Maretse is equally popular with the large terraced garden & patio where there is a gas barbeque, garden table, and chairs for 10 people and parasol. The garden and patio area enjoy a sunny position & whilst relaxing in the serviced hot tub you will be able to appreciate the outstanding mountain views.

If catering is desired this can be arranged for part or all of the period at an extra cost.

We do try to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible and we are most fortunate to have excellent reviews from guests who have stayed in Maretse.

About Paul Holroyd

Having visited Nendaz in the Summer we were amazed at how beautiful the area is . It is renowned for its apricots, raspberries as well as other fruit and it a major wine producing area as well.

Paul & I returned to Nendaz in the winter and fell in love with the vast ski area and also how friendly the village is. We then decided to buy a plot of land and build our lovely chalet!

Why Paul Holroyd chose Haute-Nendaz

Maretse is in a prime position close to ski lift, bars, restaurants and shops yet in a private road. There is a large garden and patio area with a hot tub that has stunning mountain views. The village has won awards for being 'Family Friendly' and in the Summer there are lovely walks next to the Bisses. In Winter the 4 valleys ski area is very extensive and suitable for all levels. We consider ourselves to be very fortunate to have a lovely chalet in this area.

What makes this chalet unique

We have stunning mountain views, beautiful comfortable furnishings within the chalet, and the Chalet is only 5 minutes walk to main facililities.

There is parking for 2 cars on the property and a large garage. A large patio area and attractive garden with stunning hot tub that has spectacular mountain views, & to enjoy the sunny position we have garden table/chairs/parasol and barbeque.

Each of the 5 bedrooms have their own bathroom. The large open plan lounge/dining room has a very attractive log fire and there is underfloor heating throughout the chalet. We have many compliments on the very well equipped kitchen & the comfort of this luxury chalet that is prepared ready for your arrival with care.

Very nice chalet, very nice owner

We stayed in Maretse 2 years in a row, and we may be back next year. 4 out of 5 bedrooms have beds that can be separated, and each room has its own bath. For our group this is perfect. The chalet is very clean, and the layout is great. Nice fire place, comfortable couches, good size dining table. Kitchen is on the small end for larger groups, but very complete so no prob. Location is good. Excellent bakery on walking distance. Hot tub is great for after skiing.
Last but not least: the owner is very nice and a pleasure to deal with.
You can’t go wrong with Maretse!

Fantastic views and well situated for the ski lift

We had a great holiday and it worked perfectly to share the chalet with our friends. There was plenty of space for all and the chalet was well equipped with en suite bedrooms and a fitted kitchen. We enjoyed the spectacular views from the chalet which was spacious and comfortable. The log fire in the lounge and the hot tub in the garden made it especially welcoming and the chalet was very well situated for the ski lift, shops and restaurants which were in walking distance.

Marvellous Maretse

We (family of 10 aged 9yrs to 75yrs!) stayed here on a self catering basis during October. Chalet Maretse was extremely comfortable and equipped with everything we needed and more. All the bedrooms were spacious, but I highly recommend the two upstairs with breathtaking views of the mountains! We were glad to have the opportunity to use the large outdoor hot tub - surrounded by an unexpected early snow-fall and again with a stunning mountain view. Once inside we mastered the art of fire lighting in the beautiful fireplace. This chalet is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also extremely practical. It has a large garage and a downstairs entrance with plenty of boot and coat space. The utility and boiler room is also here, so good for overnight drying if needed.
The location is also perfect - only a few minutes to walk downhill to the lovely town of Haute Nendaz with a good selection of bars, restaurants, shops etc. There are various play areas for young children in the town as well as a leisure centre which had an outdoor ice rink when we were staying. We had a car, however there is a reasonable bus service downhill to Sion and up to Siviez. Local villages are worth a visit for a walk and a meal - Saclentse (recommend Cafe de Sapin Blanc) and also Planchouet - both are found on 'Bisses Walks'. Siviez has a large chair lift 'interchange' also with eateries and access to walks. However, check operating dates for chair lifts (including the Tracouet system found in Haute Nendaz) if visiting out of season - as we were - not all of the lifts operate at the end of October - taking advantage of the quiet period to take a break and do some maintenance! This did not spoil our holiday - there are plenty of other things to do and see, but it is worth mentioning.
I highly recommend this chalet as well as the destination - it would be a good choice any time of the year.

A little piece of heaven!

We really enjoyed our holiday and as for the chalet it was absolutely lovely with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The chalet was kept clean at all times and we were very well looked after. The furnishings in your chalet are really nice and the beds very comfortable and had everything we could wish for. The chalet was convenient for the ski lift and for the restaurants which were all in walking distance of the village of Nandez which is beautiful. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your chalet. We had a great time and felt very comfortable. We will have no hesitation in recommending it to all our friends.

Haute Nendaz is a lovely mountain village situated at the centre of the Swiss 4 Vallees region at 1400 metres altitude. It is North facing and is part of the extensive Verbier 4 valley ski area with over 400 km of pisted runs to suit all levels. It has a snow park/ice-rink. Maretse is a luxury chalet with parking for 3 cars in a quiet location yet only 5 mins from the main lift station/supermarket/shops /restaurants/bars /Banks /Ski/boot hire. We can offer discount for ski/snowboard/boot hire and lessons.

SKI SEASON: Haute Nendaz is part of the '4 Vallees' and has 412km of ski runs and 92 lifts. A varied and outstanding domain ranging from 1350m to 3330m in altitude, something for everybody: families, free riders, free style skiers, confirmed skiers or beginners, snowboarders. It is possible to ski right down to the resort during the entire season.

Nendaz, Veysonnaz, Thyon, Mont Fort and Verbier are all areas to ski.

At the highest point of the '4 Vallees' at 3300m, the Mont Fort area is a location of nature & freedom, where free-riders meet powder snow. It has exceptional panoramic views and is also a great excursion for non-skiers. Ski School is conveniently at the top of the ski lift at Tracouet.

SUMMER: Nendaz is a vibrant village which has a number of festivals and a regular market specialising in local produce. The larger medieval town of Sion is 20 minutes drive down the mountain through vineyards and Apricot trees.

During summer, Haute Nendaz is popular for walking, hiking, mountain biking, golfing, skate-boarding, rock climbing, etc. Many of the ski lifts are open in Summer and bikes can be taken on the lifts free between June - September. There is an outdoor swimming pool in Nendaz, and beautiful spa baths at Saillon.

Golf: 18 hole Golf Course 20 minutes away at Sion. Also 18 hole Golf Courses at Verbier and Crans Montana.

We are very fortunate with the position of Maretse being close to everything yet at the bottom of a quiet Private road.
