Overview

Tulum Condo Rental Photos and Description

New Luxury 2 Bedroom & 2 Bath Condo With Pool Views. (Sleeps 4)

Our home away from home. The first luxury condo complex in the 24 hour secured development of Aldea Zama. We are located in the jungle only 1.5+ miles to the nearest Tulum beaches, restaurants, bars & shopping in town. The local major Grocery store, Chedraui, is 1 mile away.

1 King size bed in the master bedroom & 1 queen size bed in the guest bedroom, along with a queen sized air bed. Both are set with high quality linens & black out shades for sleeping in, naps and privacy. All 3 major rooms have their own air conditioners and ceiling fans for the hot months. Our unit is conveniently located on the ground level with a wall of window sliders, opening to the view of the pool, which is only 8 feet off of the living room. The long & narrow communal pool is no more than 5 feet deep & also has a kiddie pool for the little ones. The front entry requires a security code & all the other gates require keys for entry. We have security personnel checking in & around the complex from dusk until dawn & 24 hour during the weekends. We have a private Wi-Fi network for our home, along with a communal Wi-Fi network around the pool. There is a small patio set for use on our patio in front of the pool, as well as a private tiled, back patio off of the Master Bedroom that has 2 chairs, a table & a hammock. The 2nd Bedroom closets are stocked with beach towels, sand & pool toys, a child sized life jacket, pool lounger cushions & collapsible coolers. Both Bedrooms have a TV along with a Blu Ray/DVD player and dozens of movies. Room décor is nearly all hand crafted local artwork and furniture. We have completely supplied our kitchen with Tri-Clad cookware, Wüsthof cutlery & every thing you could possibly need to make the perfect meal using all the fabulous, fresh local fish, meats, fruits & veggies. Bring your favorite coffee beans & use the Braun grinder & coffee maker or buy some at the large local grocery store Chedraui, less than 1 mile away. A quality blender is there for the morning, power chia fruit smoothies, or blended mango margaritas in the afternoon/evening. We supply 1, 20 liter bottles of drinking water. Empties can be exchanged at the local grocery store for 25-28 pesos (sounds crazy but most rentals here do not provide drinking water nor a garrafon) We have a washer & dryer & a drying rack, along with the soaps & softeners needed to help ease the load from your packing list of clothing.

There is an ongoing ‘Welcome to our other home’ binder loaded with information about our home, WiFi passcodes for the community area WiFi access (our living room picks it up just fine) the local sights, cenotes, beach clubs & the most important (for us)…restaurants.

An emergency phone number list with the fire station (½ mile away), hospital address & # (1 mile away) & the police (½ mile away).

Bose iPod/iPhone Soundocks are in both bedrooms & the living room/kitchen area for your music.

The liquor cabinet drawers are stocked with sets of maps for Tulum & every other region in the Riviera Maya for the explorers.

It is also stocked with locally made incense, right next to the phone # for the masseuse to schedule your massage (not included) for the extra relaxation boost.

There are flashlights (red light) for watching Turtles nest on the beach or watching the babies hatch at night. 2 normal flashlights for late night walks thru Aldea Zama sidewalks thru the jungle. 2 night-lights throughout the condo, which automatically turn on via a movement sensor OR if the power should ever go out.

There are 2 bikes with baskets, locks & a tire pump for trekking into town or the beach, used at your own risk of course. We expect our guests to make sure the bikes are in working order when they leave just as we left them. We do not maintain these after each rental, only when we come down. If they are not in working order, iBike up the street can get them going for you. We strongly suggest not riding at night!

We spend every spare moment we have here & have everything we think we need for a comfortable, fabulous, relaxing vacation & hope you do to.

About Kim

We are a family of 3 living in the Portland, OR area. We own a small, family run pizzeria here in the land of rain & have been vacationing in the Riviera Maya since we fell in love with the region in 2006.

Kim purchased this condo in 2012

Why Kim chose Tulum

We returned as often as we could while working as hard as we could, dreaming of owning small piece of paradise. Once we felt the laid back feel of Tulum, and the 6 miles of the most beautiful beach we had seen, we knew we wanted to make Tulum a piece of us. And before we knew it, we were able to buy our home away from home in Tulum. Our home isn't a churn & burn rental property, it is our home. We have the highest of quality furnishings & accessories & do our best to make sure it is clean & fresh for every guest.

What makes this condo unique

The condo is perfectly located in the jungle, half way between the beach and the town.

Awesome Vacation

  • 5 of 5

My Husband and I stayed at this beautiful condo for 2 weeks, and enjoyed ourselves to the fullest. Everything we required was provided and more. It was very clean, and comfortable, and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the pool, biking along the great pathway, and walking the area on a daily basis. The list of restaurants provided by Brian and Kim was most helpful and we tried several and they were most delicious and cost effective. You do require a car to get to the town of Tulum and the beach, which we did quite often.Plenty of parking, so this is not an issue. There is a large grocery store that is within biking distance that has all you require. I forgot my blow dryer and they had a selection of at least 12! The staff and security people were very friendly and helpful. Twice a month on Sundays, an artistan market is held in the subdivision, with some amazing vendors. Don't miss this event! If Brian and Kim provided the weather also, thank you, it was almost +30 daily! A wonderful area, friendly people, great food, what more could you ask for....we would highly recommend, and return ourselves.

Fabulous Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four stayed at Brian and Kim's place in January and had a wonderful time. The condo was very clean, beautifully decorated, and had a well-stocked kitchen as well as beach towels, sand toys and two tvs with dvds. The pool was right outside the front door which our daughters (age 8 and 10) thought was fantastic. It was a perfect location to explore all that Tulum has to offer: beaches, Mayan ruins, Tulum pueblo and the beautiful cenotes in the area. There is a great bike path at the entrance to Aldea Zama that we used for a morning run. The beach and town were a 5-minute drive and there is a large grocery store just a couple blocks away. The security and other guests were very nice and helpful. The best part was the list of restaurants that the owners provided. We ate delicious, cheap food every day that you would not find in any guide book! I would happily stay there again.

Wonderful Stay in Tulum

  • of 5

Our family of four (two adults and two girls age 8 and 10) stayed at Brian and Kim's place in Aldea Zama in January and had a wonderful time. The Condo is conveniently located about five minutes by car to the beach and into town. The location couldn't have been more perfect for all that Tulum has to offer. The condo was very tastefully decorated and very clean and had everything we needed. There is also a big supermarket just a few blocks away which was nice and convenient. The pool was right outside the front door which my daughters loved! We met several people from around the globe at the pool who were all very friendly and the security people were very kind and helpful. We found it a perfect place to come back to after swimming in Cents, visiting the Mayan Ruins and going to the beach. The owners left us with a list of restaurants that they recommended which was fabulous. We tried at least five of them and they were all fantastic. Tulum is a great place to get high quality but inexpensive Mexican food. There are bikes available which we did not use but it seemed to be a very popular way to get around town and there is a nice walkway at the entrance to Aldea Zama that was great for a run to the beach in the morning or a nice walk. We would happily stay there again.

Couples trip

  • 5 of 5

Had a great time at the condo, the security guys were quick to orient us to a good place to park and usher us to the unit.

Unit was great, fans windows all around so no need to use the AC this time of year. Kitchen was well stocked and clearly laid out. We stopped at Chedraui (grocery store) a couple hundred km from the zama entrance after the turn from the main road before going. Got our basics (including ice) and we were set for the rest of the stay.

The first morning we got ready to go to the beach and thought it would be very obvious. It was not, and we wound up on quite the exploration to locate the "playa de publica" - not sure if this would help anyone else but it would be fun to have a big map of the area handy.

Favorite things;

in unit laundry

Hand Juice press

No tv in the public area (vacation!)

Incredible!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here at the condo for 2 weeks and they were absolutely heavenly. You can wake up each morning and walk a few steps to take a dip in the pool. The staff is so friendly (Victor!) and the other condo owners are extremely helpful and sweet. Brian has thought of everything you need for your trip to the beach or the pueblo: bicycles, coolers, flashlights, beach towels, etc. The rooms are so clean, with the added bonus of having an AC unit in each. It felt like coming "home" each afternoon. Plus, there is so much to do and see in this area - you don't want to be stuck down on hotel row, overpaying for cervezas and mediocre food! Following Brian's guide to the restaurants in the pueblo is perfect - so many incredible (and inexpensive!) little secret spots to be totally blown away by. He also has a great guide, Nick, who helped us explore the many cenotes in the region.

Overall, completely relaxing and fun trip. Lots of adventure, new friends and time to really lean into the life Tulum has to offer. Brian's place could not be more perfect; they've truly thought of everything!

Excellent Condo!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and two kids (6 yr old, 3 yr old) just came back from an amazing week in Tulum and we couldn't of had a better stay due to Brian and his beautiful condo at Aldea Zama. The location was excellent, so close to beach road and to town. The kids were in the pool (which is right out front the living room door) every morning and all day if we let them. Great amenities, state of the art kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms, washer/dryer and A/C in every room! Loved meeting families from all of the world. Lovely staff who work there. My favorite part was the overall relaxed vibe of Aldea Zama and how happy and friendly everyone was to be there. Brian was very responsive to any questions we had and the place is run extremely well. I highly recommend staying and especially those with kids as it's a great way to save money by cooking when you want to, getting some down time from days out and the kids loved the beach but could be in the pool all day! Thanks Brian, we'll be back soon!
