This perfectly-built, clean and well-organized home has all the location and amenities you need to thoroughly enjoy your stay. The house is a one-block walk to Lady Bird Lake and its running and biking trails. A 5-minute walk lands you on Rainy Street, where stylish houses now host Austin's newest bar & restaurant row. Only one mile, or 5-minute cab (or pettycab) ride, to Austin Convention Center and the rest of downtown. And about 6 blocks north is the 6th Street bar and restaurant scene, both old and new sections. The location simply cannot be beat for SXSW or any convention. Perfect for an executive who wants to enjoy Austin's nightlife after meetings.
I live and work in San Diego and Austin. My dad and I moved to Austin from San Diego in 1992 when I was in high school. I can't imagine my life without the strong community and warm people of Austin. Its music scene satisfies the most passionate music lover, the pickiest food critic and those who value truly genuine and creative people. This home is my dad's most recent creation. Its meticulously cared for and feels like home to everyone who has come to visit. We trust you will feel the same way:)

Location, location, location....And charm. This house is home to lots of friends and family as they pass through Austin. You can't help but love this town! This house was built by a perfectionist (my dad) -- When having it inspected for a short-term rental, the inspector said this was one of the best-bulit houses he'd ever reviewed. It is comfortable, warm and is located in the heart of downtown Austin. You will most certainly enjoy yourself here and want to return.
We are here to help you! We'd love for your stay in Austin to be more than a delight and would be happy to do anything we can to make your trip a memorable one. We know the city very well and can offer suggestions and lists for all types of activities. We created a binder to get you started but we can offer more advanced help as well.
Awesome house in absolutely superb location. Easy walk to everything you want in Austin and then some. Everything was clean, well-stocked and communication was great. What impressed me most was all the little extra supplies in the house like a first aid drawer and full tool drawer in the kitchen (though I think you may need to get your dryer looked at by a repair tech...) This house was perfect for a two person trip to SXSW, but could easily house two couples or a family. Just note that the bathroom is located sort of in one of the bedroom suites, so it'd have to be two couples that are fairly friendly with each other.
We stayed at this house for a long weekend in Austin. The check-in process was easy and simple, the house was extremely clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. It is right off of 35 and so it's close to everything you might want to see in Austin. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.
This home is well-located - definitely a transition neighborhood but always felt safe and a short walk to Rainey street, or long walk to downtown bar areas. House is very well decorated with a great open layout, including a nice back deck. Very highly recommended. The only potential complaint would be the lack of doors to the two bedrooms, so if you're going as two couples each couple might not get as much alone time as they would want. Our stay was just one couple, so we had a great time with no complaints! Cannot say enough about Austin and I would easily stay here again.
Completely exceeded my expectations. We stayed here for formula 1 and it meet all out needs. It's was only 3 minutes from downtown and within walking distance. The homeowner was very friendly and helpful and the home had any and everything we could need. I do several home stays and this was one of my best experiences. The room situation is a bit awkward with no doors however the homeowner warned us and it was not a huge deal. We will surely stay here again in the future. Thanks!
Quaint house great for a couple. Clean and well appointed. It does have two rooms with beds, but there is no privacy. If that isn't an issue, fine for up to four people. Great location and off street parking a plus. We walked to Rainey street where parking is impossible and took a pedicab back. They even had off spray on back porch, mosquitos were an issue without the spray.
WHO EVER REMODELED THIS HOUSE KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. VERY TASTEFUL AND VERY COMFORTABLE. TRANSITION NEIGHBORHOOD, BUT MANY WOMEN WALKING ALONE, DOGS, SMALL CHILDREN ETC. ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT. VERY SAFE. CLOSE TO EVERYTHING. 5TH GENERATION TEXAN. OLD ENOUGH TO REMEMBER THE OLD DAYS IN AUSTIN 1970s.. KINDA GOING BACK TO THAT WAY. PEACE LOVE BABY...LOSTINAUSTIN
We are located just east of I-35 in the hip new neighborhood of East Cesar Chavez in downtown Austin. Less than a mile from the Austin Convention Center...only a 15 minute walk! Just blocks away from 6th Street! This location is perfect for executives and business people that need to be near the city center. Location simply cannot be beat for events like SXSW.
