We (Randy and Louise) have been together for over 30 years. We were married while floating down the Penticton River Channel in 1991. We have a daughter who lives in Summerland (12 min. North) and runs her own Pet Grooming Business - Paradise Pet Salon. We also have a daughter who lives in Peachland (30 min. North). Her husband has his own Dental Practice in Summerland and they have 3 children (our Grand Kids).

Louise Squires purchased this house in 2007

We vacationed in Penticton every Summer for over 20 years and always knew that this is where we wanted to live.

The moment we saw this property for sale we knew we had to have it. The views are stunning. From the moment the Sun comes up over the mountains across the lake, until it finally slips over the hills behind you, your day can include it all. Look across the lake and pick out some of the Wineries you want to visit. There are 40 plus Wineries within a 20 min. drive! There are over 120 Wineries in the region! We are more than willing to give you a tour if needed. You have a lake on each end of the city with beautiful sandy beaches. There are 3 different picnic areas and boat launch just minutes away.

What a relaxing visit to wine country!

The location was great for doing our daily tours to different wineries in the area. We toured for four days over to Naramata, South to Okanagan Falls area and North to taste and purchase wines. Randy and Louise were a great resource to the area, telling us where we should go to start our tours. Even had them up for an evening of appies and wine. What a great couple! The house is amazing - I can't say enough about the views of the lake and surrounding area. Looking so forward to the next time we can visit the area.

Great stay in Penticton

We found this property in Penticton to have everything that we needed to make a great base for visiting the Penticton/Naramata area. The suite is very well equipped and clean and the beds extremely comfortable. There were 4 adults in our group and lots of room for everyone. The deck had an amazing view over the lake and the addition of a canopy meant that we were able to have every meal outside even in 30 degree + weather. Our hosts went out of their way to make us at home and even provided a welcoming bottle of wine on our arrival. I would thoroughly recommend this property and would have liked to have stayed longer. Our favourite wineries were La Frenz and Noble Ridge, both of these had very knowledgeable staff and great wines.

The accommodation here is excellent, well appointed with all modern conveniences.

The view is outstanding and changes its nature as the sun goes round in the day.

Conveniently situated to tour the area

Our hosts were very welcoming and took care of everything for us with great advice on what to see and how to get there.

We were blown away with the Okanagen area and this accommodation contributed highly to our enjoyment of it

Nicely nestled vacation property

The Squires House provided our "home base" for a week in the Okanagan for golf, wine, and all things in between. From the extra storage for golf clubs, to the gorgeous views from the patio, everything that is represented in the Squires' listing is accurate. Nearly perfect location - no foot traffic whatsoever around the home, can walk to a couple golf courses, only a 3 minute drive into Penticton.
Would recommend in a heartbeat for anyone who wants a reasonably priced accommodation with a view that is only rivaled by much more expensive properties.

Cycling Holiday

House was perfect for our needs. We were on a cycling holiday in Penticton and were able to access the KVR trail easily from Squireshouse. Coming home after a hard day of cycling was a treat. Most of our time was spent enjoying wine and food on the beautiful deck overlooking the lake. House was very spacious with easy parking and views were wonderful. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. We are thinking of going again in the fall for the Wine festival and cycling the KVR in cooler weather.
