This is a newly listed studio conveniently located just footsteps away from Lake Michigan and a mile walk to Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs. Your stay here will put you in the heart of a vibrant, eclectic Chicago neighborhood full of unique shopping, restaurants and nightlife all within walking distance. Take a 5 minute cab ride to downtown, enjoy the Lincoln Park Zoo(free), Millennium Park, Grant Park, Navy Pier, Shed Aquarium, Museum of Science and Industry and the shops on the Magnificent Mile. Whether you are a baseball fan that wants to experience the energy of Wrigleyville during a Cubs game, or to just relax and explore miles of lakefront activities and beaches, here you will have easy access to it all.
What originally attracted me to this property was it's close proximity to the Chicago lakefront, Wrigley Field, and easy access to public transportation. Minutes in a cab to downtown, walk to the train, catch a bus at the end of the block, and less than a mile walk to the Cubs stadium. In this neighborhood I can walk to coffee shops, restaurants, grocery stores, the gym, and other unique shops. I can get most anywhere without needing a car. The building is quiet on a beautiful block. This property is perfect for couples and small families wanting great access to all this city has to offer while feeling like you are living there not just visiting.
*Excellent host who goes out of his way to ensure your comfort.
*Amazing location - near public transport, lakefront & lakefront trail, grocery stores (I like Jewel-Osco) and loads of restaurants.
*Spacious studio flat with every item you could think of.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here next time I was in town.
I just got back from renting this property for a month a business trip and a little pleasure on the side. I am somewhat cautious about paying for anything over the internet but I went ahead and rented this property anyway. I can assure you that everything worked smoothly and that the owner is very reachable and will help you in any way he can.
ok about the property: It is in the heart of it all! Broadway is right down the street where there are shops in bars. From Broadway, it is a shot walk to Wrigley, Addison Street, N Sheffield etc. You can even hop on the subway at Wrigley or Belmont to take you into the city or shopping at tower mall. The best part is, the property is located on the west side of Lake Shore Drive. So all is you have to do is walk under lake shore and you are at the lake where there are miles of bike and walking paths. I made this part of my daily routine. The people are friendly and my wife felt very safe even though she was in "the big city".
The room itself is a studio so there is not tons of space but it is cozy and comfortable for two people. I like to cook so I don't have to eat out all the time and there is enough cookware to get most jobs done.
That's about it. If you want a nice, safe space to make home base and explore the city, then this is the property for you.
This is a great location for Chicago visitors! The bus system could not be more convenient- being at either end of the block and leading downtown- and the apartment is less than 100 yards from the beach and an amazing running/biking path along the water. The apartment is very roomy with a great kitchen, sitting area, and bathroom. Johnny is so easy to work with and very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this location to sightseers and longer stay visitors, like myself.
Thanks to Johnny, a wonderful host, we had a terrific place to rest weary heads at the end of each fabulous day spent exploring Chicago!!! The apartment had everything we needed and was located in a lovely residential area close to the lake. Although we spent most of our time in downtown Chicago and areas like Hyde Park and Oak Park, we took some time to saunter along Broadway near the apartment and have brunch in a local restaurant....it almost felt as if we actually lived in Chicago!!! We hope to return to the city some day...there is so much to see and the people are very friendly. Tip: the third weekend in October there is a fabulous free public festival organized by the Architectural Foundation offering behind-the-scenes access to 150 buildings across Chicago. Check it out online at openhousechicago.org....it's an amazing opportunity. Thanks again, Johnny, for all your help and organization!
We stayed at this condo over the past weekend and we were very happy with our choice.
The condo is very nice and the location is fabulous. But one of the best parts was dealing with the owner....Johnny. I have never had an experience such as this where the owner was so intent on making sure that the entire stay was as pleasant as was absolute possible. We will for sure come back to Chicago and this condo if we are able and we look forward to dealing with Johnny again in the future.
A great place for a couple to stay in a great location. Wonderful residential neighborhood with cafes and shops only two blocks away. Nicely furnished with all you could want. Highly recommended
