This is a one bedroom, one bath bungalow in a group of beautiful Spanish Revival bungalows near Montana Ave in Santa Monica. The bungalow is light and bright and has just been completely remodeled. Overlooks a grassy courtyard with palm trees.
The bungalow has a 30 day minimum rental period ($195 per night) and a maximum occupancy of 2 people.
I have furnished and carefully prepared the bungalow to be your home away from home and a welcoming and cozy retreat. Please read the bungalow reviews and feel free to email or call with any questions.
The bungalow's location has rated a Walk Score of 98! It is located one block from Wilshire Blvd and two blocks from Montana Ave with the beach, great restaurants, shopping, and so many stores within walking distance. If you need to take care of business while here, the Post Office, UPS and Fedex are a 7 minute walk.
Walk 9 short blocks and then down the steps (like a local) to the beautiful Santa Monica beaches.

She fell in love with this charming bungalow in a great neighborhood.
The fact that we have already rented this beautiful, pristine and charming bungalow for next February, 2016, will tell the reader just how fabulous it is. We have recently retired, and our children and grandchildren are close by in CA. In Santa Monica we enjoyed living the CA outdoor life style, especially while missing the east coast's brutal February cold and snow. Attentive and gracious, Robin is the consummate host. She has created a home that is not only beautifully decorated in a fine, simple and elegant style, but every feature is a welcoming one. Fresh flowers in the dining nook and bedroom, beautiful bathrobes for lounging, a terrific mattress and lovely linens. The deep soaking tub is a particularly welcome feature, and the beautiful and well stocked kitchen and linen closet lacked for nothing. A perfect location for walking: to the beach, to the local "Y", the Promenade. There aren't enough stars to give this rental and its owner!
The quiet neighborhood location is good for biking or walking to the Promenade, beach, market, church, and scenic Palisades Park. Robin thought of everything without our asking - from a fully stocked kitchen to umbrellas left on the doorstep on a rare rainy morning. In the world we live in, service that far exceeds one's expectations is a rare and beautiful thing. And that was indeed the case from beginning to end with our stay in the cozy bungalow.
My husband and I rented this lovely Santa Monica bungalow for the month of October 2014 while visiting our 18 month old grandson and his parents. The bungalow was perfect! Impeccably clean, cheerful and sunny, brand new appliances and bathroom fixtures as well as extraordinarily well stocked (both kitchen and bathroom). Robin is a wonderful host, attentive if you have any questions, otherwise totally unobtrusive. The location is wonderful, walking distance to the ocean, the Promenade, Montana Ave. etc. After a day of sight-seeing or spending time with our children, it was great to return to our charming bungalow--in particular--the terrific TV with premium channels/netflix. We appreciated having a garage because on-street parking is prohibited for several hours 2 days each week for street cleaning and we were glad we read prior reviews that recommended a sub-compact car for ease of garage access.
If ever a rental deserved a 5* rating, this is it!!
Writing this review even though we'd like to keep this bungalow our secret. It was spotless and SO charming and decked out with thoughtful touches everywhere. The owner was very nice and always available to us.
We had a great time and plan to return.
I was in this bungalow for a very extended stay while I transitioned into a new job in Los Angeles and it was THE MOST wonderful place to call home. Not only is the bungalow pristine, beautifully appointed, and so well cared for, but Robin is also the kindest host you can ask for. She frequently took the time to check on me and the home to make sure I was feeling comfortable and that all my needs were met. She installed new locks on the doors and windows when I expressed the slightest concern about the living in a first-floor apartment (though this neighborhood is seriously the safest), brought me extra cutlery when I said I was having guests over for Shabbat, called when the power went out on our block and offered to bring me lanterns and candles -- the list of thoughtful moments goes on and on. Robin clearly cares about this bungalow and every person who calls it home, no matter what the duration of your trip is. I couldn't have asked for a better experience (or a more idyllic living space).
I love this bungalow and am looking for another opportunity to return soon! Thankfully I was able to book for 10 days due to an opening in the calendar. This place is amazing and I felt at home as soon as I walked in. This pristine bungalow is really beautiful plus a great bed and very comfortable couch in the living room. I travel for a work a great deal so having a well stocked kitchen and a washer and dryer made everything so much easier for me. It is also walking distance to many great restaurants if you don't want to cook - I recommend the R&D Kitchen on Montana Ave! I agree with the other reviewer that you should rent a smaller car so you can use the garage. It was very helpful to have the option to park in a garage. Finally, the owner is a dream. She was so easy to deal with from my first email. She made sure I was welcomed with fresh flowers and many special treats. Now I have to find other work in Santa Monica so I can go back! Thanks Robin!
This bungalow sits between Wilshire Blvd and Montana Ave - you can walk to many great restaurants and fun shopping. Just 9 blocks from the famous Palisades Park which overlooks the stunning beaches and Santa Monica Pier. Like a local, you can walk down Montana Ave and take your choice of several sets of stairs down to the Pacific Ocean.
It is possible to take the Big Blue Bus almost everywhere, but a car is recommended.
