It is located one block from Wilshire Blvd and two blocks from Montana Ave with the beach, great restaurants, shopping, and so many stores within walking distance. Lovely Bungalow!

My husband and I rented this lovely Santa Monica bungalow for the month of October 2014 while visiting our 18 month old grandson and his parents. The bungalow was perfect! Impeccably clean, cheerful and sunny, brand new appliances and bathroom fixtures as well as extraordinarily well stocked (both kitchen and bathroom). Robin is a wonderful host, attentive if you have any questions, otherwise totally unobtrusive. The location is wonderful, walking distance to the ocean, the Promenade, Montana Ave. etc. After a day of sight-seeing or spending time with our children, it was great to return to our charming bungalow--in particular--the terrific TV with premium channels/netflix. We appreciated having a garage because on-street parking is prohibited for several hours 2 days each week for street cleaning and we were glad we read prior reviews that recommended a sub-compact car for ease of garage access.
If ever a rental deserved a 5* rating, this is it!!

Writing this review even though we'd like to keep this bungalow our secret. It was spotless and SO charming and decked out with thoughtful touches everywhere. The owner was very nice and always available to us.

Amazing Extended Stay!!

I was in this bungalow for a very extended stay while I transitioned into a new job in Los Angeles and it was THE MOST wonderful place to call home. Not only is the bungalow pristine, beautifully appointed, and so well cared for, but Robin is also the kindest host you can ask for. She frequently took the time to check on me and the home to make sure I was feeling comfortable and that all my needs were met. She installed new locks on the doors and windows when I expressed the slightest concern about the living in a first-floor apartment (though this neighborhood is seriously the safest), brought me extra cutlery when I said I was having guests over for Shabbat, called when the power went out on our block and offered to bring me lanterns and candles -- the list of thoughtful moments goes on and on. Robin clearly cares about this bungalow and every person who calls it home, no matter what the duration of your trip is. I couldn't have asked for a better experience (or a more idyllic living space).

I did not want to leave!

I love this bungalow and am looking for another opportunity to return soon! Thankfully I was able to book for 10 days due to an opening in the calendar. This place is amazing and I felt at home as soon as I walked in. This pristine bungalow is really beautiful plus a great bed and very comfortable couch in the living room. I travel for a work a great deal so having a well stocked kitchen and a washer and dryer made everything so much easier for me. It is also walking distance to many great restaurants if you don't want to cook - I recommend the R&D Kitchen on Montana Ave! I agree with the other reviewer that you should rent a smaller car so you can use the garage. It was very helpful to have the option to park in a garage. Finally, the owner is a dream. She was so easy to deal with from my first email. She made sure I was welcomed with fresh flowers and many special treats. Now I have to find other work in Santa Monica so I can go back! Thanks Robin!

Santa Monica bungalow vacation

My husband and I spent a month at this beautiful property. The location is ideal. It is a short walk to Montana Avenue as well as the Third Street Promenade. Twice a week we went to the wonderful Santa Monica farmer's market on Third. There is a lovely children's park one block away which we had fun at with our grandkids. We also frequented the Lammie Theater on 2nd street which shows great foreign films and is also a nice walk. The walk to the beach takes less than a half hour. Beach towels are in the unit but it would have been nice to have some lightweight beach chairs for our old bones. The bungalow is perfect for two. It is bright and beautifully furnished. Robin makes herself very available to you should any questions arise. The garage is quite small, so rent the equivalent of a Mazda 2. The condominium association is very careful to keep the exteriors of these units looking pristine. We did leave a baby carriage outside one day and were chastised. We recommend this place highly and expect to be back next year. Thank you Robin!

Loved every minute of it!!

I am a little bit neurotic when I travel - I wipe everything down with a clorox wipe even in the nicest hotels, and I was walking around barefoot in this impeccably clean place within ten minutes! Beautifully decorated in crisp whites and ivory, there is no question that this one bedroom charmer is spotless.

The owner has thought of everything...from the drawer with the stamps, paperclips and stapler to the q-tips and extra toothbrush, the salted AND unsalted butter, electric kettle (I bought the same one when I returned home) and fresh cookies, I felt so welcome! The owner is clearly a pro at this, leaving a notebook with instructions for appliances and tips for local attractions, and yet I felt like I was the first person to stay here..the marble kitchen in bathroom appear to have just been installed and the linens are fresh and seemingly brand new.

I had a wonderful visit to Santa Monica, and it was in large part due to my accommodations. I just can't say enough about this place!!
