• Walk to Mirror Lake and canoe in our Old Towne Canoe or feed native Canada Geese and Mallards.

A gentle hike takes you to the Bascom Art Center and then on to town. Exclusive Mirror Lake community is quaint and charming. A truly magical property reminiscent of Adirondack lodges. This is why you come to highlands.

The lodge is filled with fine original art, luxurious furniture, period antiques and rugs from around the world. ?Artist designed custom ironwork by Whitney Butler Designs of Pensacola, FL. Professionally decorated & appointed by Stan Cox Interior Design, Knoxville, TN.?

Beautiful maple cabinetry, professional knives & cookware. Multiple sets of everyday china plus fine china and crystal, and beautiful serving pieces.

Sit in antique wicker rockers on the wrap around porch, or the outdoor entertaining area with gas grill, wood burning stone fireplace, seating and dining area and covered spa overlooking pond and rhododendron gardens. Listen to the rain on the tin roof or relax and meditate by moss covered rocks and a gentle brook. Have breakfast on the screened porch off kitchen and dining situated over the tranquil brook and massive rhododendrons gardens.

Handsome library with games and books.

Property with 150' trees surrounding a large garden and flat area conducive to outdoor games. Play horseshoes, badminton and bocci ball while strolling the vegetable and flower gardens or sitting by the pond.

The proximity to everything we love in Highlands makes this property very special. For the energetic, you can walk to the Bascom Art Center and from there you are a block to town.

What makes this lodge unique

Hiking trails are within minutes of our home. We are establishing cutting gardens and vegetable gardens for our guests to enjoy. The small private pond and stream running thru the rhododendron complete the perfect setting.

Quiet and close to town

We had a great time. The house is so warm and comfortable, not to mention close to anything you would want to do in Highlands. It snowed while we were there, and everything looked so beautiful! The house is a great place for getting family or friends together in one room while still allowing for privacy when the early birds go to bed! Can't wait to go back to Highlands!

We arrived on a Friday afternoon, ready for a mountain experience! What a beautiful area! The house sits back on a rather large piece of property for Highlands and is so inviting with the wrap-around porch. The main room is very comfortable with a fireplace and nice hearth to sit on to warm up after the beautiful surprise snow. We love the eclectic furnishings that have been done with such fun, yet great taste (my husband is an interior designer & appreciates the quality that was put into this house). The cozy library upstairs was just the place for an afternoon read and nap! We love the location since it is so close to town and Mirror Lake. We could, actually, take a nice walk and end up in town for lunch. The house offered a stress-free weekend with everything that we could have wanted! We love the house, the location and could not have asked for anything more. I will keep this number on speed dial! Thanks again!
