Guestbook comments from the manager
We thoroughly enjoyed our week long family reunion at the “Nut House”… 6 families, 12 adults and 5 young children. The two families with children nestled into the lower level… each family with their own bedroom. Next to the bedrooms was a room with several bunk beds and pull out trundle beds where the children slept. The family room had a closet full of toys and a flat screen TV that entertained all early risers. Couples without children had their own bedroom on the main floor and the matriarch and patriarch enjoyed the beautiful master bedroom suite on the third floor that had a cozy reading nook overlooking a beautiful mountain view. Adjoining the garage was a quaint two-bedroom apartment with a stocked kitchenette and a cozy living area, perfect for another one of our couples. The main kitchen was large and better equipped than my own kitchen back home. It had everything we needed and much more. Several were able to use the kitchen at the same time without tripping over each other. Next to the open kitchen was a very large family table around which much of “life” took place…eating, playing games, and simply hanging out together.
Our days were full of options, but I must say the outdoor parks and the indoor water park were enjoyed by all. Some of the adults enjoyed exploring the different mountain trails, we women enjoyed the Silverthorne outlet mall, and we all enjoyed our ride through Rocky Mountain National Park. We capped off each day with a delicious home cooked meal. After dinner, a relaxing dip in the hot tub, while breathing in the beauty of our surroundings, was a highlight for me. The beautifully decorated and spacious home, our accommodations, the breath-taking view, and all the conveniences available far exceeded our expectations. Each person carried home many treasured memories that will keep our experience alive for years to come. It was a perfect way to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. On a scale of 1-10…we all agreed that our experience deserved a number 10. We hope to plan for another “ Rendezvous at the Nut-House”.
