It is perfectly situated for quick access to Yosemite, white water rafting on Merced River, wildlife viewing, wildflower viewing, skiing Badger Pass, or just enjoying the Sierra Nevada foothills.
The Ponderosa House comfortably sleeps 6-8 with all the comforts of home. Two bedrooms with queen size beds and one bedroom with a bunk bed.
The living room, dining room and kitchen are light and airy. The house is tastefully decorated with many Yosemite themed photos. Wireless DSL is available for those needing to be connected. Washer and dryer is ready for those requiring fresh clothes. There is plenty of free parking on site.
The gourmet kitchen is open and spacious with stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, and completely stocked with cooking and baking tools. There is plenty of counter top space to prepare for your day’s adventure.
Outdoor space includes propane BBQ, hot tub, and al fresco dining seating to enjoy the wonderful natural surroundings. The Ponderosa House has abundant open green space.
The gorgeous drive through the Merced River Canyon brings you to Yosemite National Park. The Ponderosa House is conveniently located in the community of Midpines close to the Highway 140 corridor. The Yosemite National Park boundary is a 25-mile drive along the “all weather highway” which follows the Wild and Scenic Merced River (37 miles to Yosemite Village). The gold rush town of Mariposa is only 10 miles to the west. Merced is 45 miles, and the Fresno airport is a 90-minute drive. The Merced River Recreation Area (Briceburg) is less than 8 miles away.
