LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
AMAZING LOCATION, AMENITIES, SHOPS, RESTAURANTS, NO NEED FOR A CAR UNLESS YOU WANT TO DRIVE TO WHISTLER OR TAKE THE FERRY TO VICTORIA
I wanted to thank you for a wonderful stay at your suite at 3210-939 Homer Street from April to June last summer. My mother will be returning to Vancouver for the Christmas season and was wondering if your suite will be available for December 2014. Please let me know.
Condo was as described. All appliances worked (in closet washer/dryer convenient for drying clothes getting wet in the rain). Unit sleeps 4 but better for 2. Excellent location. No more than a 20 minute walking distance to entire city core. Close to transit stop and bike rental. Car parking in building was nice for rental car to explore outside the city. Friendly, helpful 24 hour concierge in the lobby.
My wife and I had a great time in Vancouver. The apartment is small, but it was just what we needed. Yaletown has some great restaurants and a very nice farmers market.
The city is very compact so walking most places is an option. We loved the place and will return to explore more of the City and Stanley Park. The sunset from the apartment was beautiful.
I am sorry to say that my husband and I were very disappointed with this property. We knew it would be small. That would have been ok. The location was ideal for us as we were visiting family and they live very near. It was not clean! There were large stains on the sofa, the floors had not been cleaned, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, laundry in the dryer that had obviously been there for a while, a ring in the tub. The blinds were broken so that they could not be used. No paper towels.
It was very warm in Vancouver and there was no cross breeze.
The unit sits at the back of the building so the only real view is of the city.
If all you are looking for is cheap and don't really care if it is clean or well maintained, then it would be a good choice. If not, I would definitely make another choice. We chose to leave after two nights. We found another VRBO location in Vancouver that was fabulous.
This is a very nice, well equipped studio apartment in a very nice area of town. There is a Big Bus stop only 1 block away at the library and loads of restaurants, shops and entertainment nearby. There are 2 other Big Bus stops nearby so you can easily pick which section of the route you want to do and pick your bus stop accordingly. Granville Ave. is the more "party" type area with the area around Hamilton Ave. (one block over) being more upscale. There is someone at the desk 24 hours a day and you need a key fob to access the building. It appeared that most people in the building were permanent residents. There is a very nice pool, whirlpool and exercise room and a small green space out back. You can see a little of the ocean, Granville bridge and downtown views from the balcony. There is also a grocery store nearby that has lots of ready to eat or heat and eat type foods. There is a DVD player and collection of DVDs in the apartment. Detergent was provided for the washing machine and dishwasher and there were a few pantry items. The bed is a Murphy bed, but is queen sized and fairly comfortable; is is very close on the one side though which makes getting in and out a little challenging. My only real concern was the lack of communication once I made the reservation. The other reviewers had all had such good comments about how helpful Joel was, but I felt there was not much information given to me about checking in, picking up keys, etc. even after I sent several emails asking for details. However all did go well on check-in and you just get the keys from the person at the desk in the building.
This condo is in a great location with good views of the city...it is located right in downtown area and you can walk to pretty much everywhere! Communication was good and easy to rent. Concierge is usually around if you needed something, although the one at checkout didnt seem to have a good morning and not friendly at all..
Suite is small but perfect for a couple...
Would stay again!!
Great location, close to everything and easy to use transit system. It is a perfect size for a couple, clean and comfortable. Owner very helpful in assisting us with questions we had. It can be noisy if windows open, lots of traffic and sirens. Other tenants and guests very friendly.
