Unterdiessen is situated in Upper Bavaria in the district of Landsberg am Lech, on the edge of the so-called 'Pfaffenwinkel' region with its numerous Baroque churches, monasteries and historical towns. The river Lech is just 4 k away and Ammersee, Starnberger See and the Alps are all within easy reach. The area has something for everyone: the Ammersee and spa at Bad Wörishofen, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Zugspitze, Germany's highest mountain, or King Ludwig's castles combined with a tour of the famous Wieskirche. Children will enjoy a visit to the nearby Skyline Park or Legoland. Unterdiessen is a small village with a grocery store, baker's, restaurant and a rustic inn with beer garden for guests wishing to eat out. The two houses, Haus Harmonie and Haus Galerie, enjoy a peaceful location on the southern edge of the village. The small road ends just behind the house. Wonderful walks can be taken along the partially tarmacked roads and cycle paths that lead directly from the house.
