About Mary Johnson
We purchased this home on the lake as a retreat from busy lives and away from crowds. We have renovated kitchens, carpets, bedrooms and all bathrooms to feel like your own home. We liked the fact we have seen three generations of moose families grow up on our back lawn.
Mary Johnson purchased this house in 2007
Why Mary Johnson chose Grand Lake
We have lived in several resort mountain towns in Colorado including Breckenridge, Summit County and in other homes in Grand County. This one has an amazing views of true untouched Colorado wilderness, and we can sit on our dock on the water to watch fish jump in the glorious evening sunsets. And we left the crowds behind. Sorry, no outlet malls near here!
What makes this house unique
Unobstructed viewing of the Milky Way after sunset is a plus. Remarkable wildlife viewing from the deck that we never saw on our expeditions to Alaska. We can hike in Rocky Mtn National Park, hear the elk bugle, and be back home in our canoe within 20 minutes. Its the best of what Colorado was at the turn of the last century, a true west experience. Coffee in the morning watching fish jump at sunrise from the couch makes life worth living at Moose Lodge.
