Healdsburg Farmhouse Rental Photos and Description
Farmhouse, Sleeps 6, Home is not set up to accommodate children under 18
This beautiful 3 bedroom and 2 ½ bath home is located on a paved private road ½ mile off of West Dry Creek Road and just 4 miles from downtown Healdsburg. It is great walking and biking country. If you are a biker bring your bike and enjoy the experience of seeing Dry Creek Valley by riding one of the premium bike roads, West Dry Creek. West Dry Creek is also home to about a dozen wineries, including Everett Ridge, Quivira, Lambert Bridge, Bella, Preston and more.
Home is located on 20 acres of mostly hillside land with majestic oaks, bay laurels and wild grasses. There are two acres of Cabernet Sauvignon planted on the property. You might be lucky and see wild boar, bobcat, wild turkeys, coyote and deer. Since the property is not fenced, the deer think they own the place and wander through at will. You can tell by the hoof prints on the Bocce court.
The home has a large kitchen with inside and outside dining areas. The kitchen has a six burner Dacor cooktop, two large ovens and a large microwave, an extra large dishwasher, side-by-side refrigerator, toaster oven, coffee maker, two warming drawers, double sinks, and even a wood burning cast iron stove. You will also enjoy the great views looking out onto the hillside where you can catch glimpses of the local wildlife.
The indoor dining room seats 10 and there is a table in the kitchen that easily seats six for those who want to chat with the chef or for a casual meal. There are two outdoor dining tables, one on the deck that will seat 6 comfortably and 8 in a pinch. A second one on the terrace seats 8 comfortably while you are watching an active game of bocce.
If you like to cook you will appreciate the extensive herb selection, olive oils and vinegars. The dining room is separated from the kitchen / family room by beautiful pocket doors with glass panels. There is a built in china cupboard in the dining room and a lovely chandelier. The family room area off the kitchen has a reclining leather love seat, a reclining reading chair and a 50 inch Sony TV with DirecTV service. There is a cast iron stove that can be used for heating and general ambiance.
There are French doors leading from the kitchen / family room area onto the oversize deck. On the deck is a Weber gas BBQ that is hooked up to the propane tank that is used by the home for heating. The deck has a love seat and two arm chairs that are metal and have cushions plus multiple other chairs that can be used with the glass top table or just for relaxing. Going down from the deck there is a lovely outdoor seating area with a round teak dining table and chairs, service cart, plus additional small tables and chairs and benches. There is a tree swing and a bocce court with teak benches and tables at each end.
Off to the side of the deck is a 6 person “Hot Spring” Spa that is very private and has a lovely view of the hillside. There is an outdoor shower near the hot tub where you can quickly shower before getting into the hot tub and rinse off after you get out.
The master bedroom is upstairs and has a cal king sled bed with 540 count sheets, down comforter, and coordinated duvet cover and decorative pillows. There is a seating area with a comfortable reading chair and an antique wooden bench. Off the master bedroom is a deck with beautiful vistas. There are two chairs with cushions for you to enjoy the morning sunrise or just to sit and enjoy the view. The tiled master bath has two sinks and a large tile tub / shower combination with a new ‘Speakman’ shower head.
The two other bedrooms are downstairs. Each has a queen bed with down comforter and coordinated duvet cover and decorative pillows. Both have closets with build in shelves, a supply of coat hangers and a luggage rack. They share a tiled bathroom with a shower / tub combination with a new ‘Speakman’ shower head.
The interior of the home was professionally painted by a painter trained in Switzerland and has 17 different colors throughout the home. There is wireless interest service in the home but no local phone so you will need to use your cell phone.
The property has a seasonal creek the flows in winter, spring and early summer. The outdoor mood lights wash the front of the house and come on automatically at dusk lighting up a gorgeous oak tree, three redwood trees, and pathways to the house. The lights in the back have a manual switch and light up two beautiful oaks, a large walnut tree, barn, and pathways.

I am a second generation California. Started to buy property in Healdsburg in 1992 and moved to Healdsburg in 1999.
I own a winery called Proud To Serve which supports non profits who provide services to veterans.
My ex husband, Marshall Harris, and I bought our first vineyard in 1992 and established a great zinfandel vineyard called Harris Kratka.
This beautiful home has all the benefits of wine country life; views, quiet and charm yet it is only 4 miles to downtown Healdsburg. The decor has been selected by a professional decorate and the owner to make it comfortable, relaxing and appealing whether you are inside or outside the home. This property is not set up to accommodate people under 18.
Fabulous kitchen, deck and outdoor patio with bocce and spa and a tree swing. Great places to go for walks and ride bikes. When you travel what do you like to do? I enjoy feeling like a special visitor to an area or one of the natives. My home is a wonderful place to do both. I love to cook and entertain and my home is set up to do that but I also like to have someone else cook – restaurant or bring in a chef. My guest house is rented out to David Bedford who can be your chef for the evening so that you can sit at home and enjoy the area (no worries about driving or cooking). David also has great contacts with the local farmers and wineries and can set up special tours for you. If you want he can pick up local supplies for your pantry and have them in the home before you arrive.
