Damariscotta Cottage Rental Photos and Description
3 bedroom,1 bath cottage on beautiful Damariscotta, Lake
The Pink Cottage is the place to be this fall. The trees are still in full autumn color and the lake is beautiful especially in the morning and evenings. There are still lots of things to do here on the coast before the snow falls.
A great place to relax and enjoy the lake, wildlife and lovely sunrises. The cottage sleeps 6 in 2 bedrooms and a loft. It has wireless internet, a fully equipped kitchen, living room and a sunroom overlooking the lake. There's a large deck, expansive lawn and a huge fire pit. A public boat landing is just up the road so you can launch your boat there and tie it up to our dock.
During the fall you can sit lakeside on a sunny day or sit in the sunroom and watch the eagles as they look for fish in the afternoon. Take a side trip to the mountains or down to the ocean. The changes of color on the trees is spectacular as is the calmness of the lake in the morning. The first Sunday in Oct. there is the Oyster Festival in 'Scotty' and the Damariscotta Pumpkinfest and Regatta is usually held on the second week of October, one of the most beautiful times in Maine. Check out www.damariscottapumpkinfest.com to see all of the festivities going on. Giant painted and carved pumpkins, a parade, music and so much more. All of these activities are only 10 miles from the Pink Cottage. We will consider renting for this three day weekend. The morning and the evening are the best times in the fall for a canoe ride. The lake is like glass and the reflection of the trees on the lake is spectacular. We have a Renai in the living room as well as in the basement if you need some heat to keep you warm during those chilly fall days.
So come join us at the Pink Cottage for a quiet time away.

About Ellen or Wilder Hunt
The Pink Cottage is owned by Ellen and Wilder Hunt, local residents who enjoy sharing the cottage with their children, grandchildren and visitors to the area.
Why Ellen or Wilder Hunt chose Damariscotta
Hi, my name is Danica and my parents own the Pink Cottage. They inherited it from my grandparents, so I've been coming here since I was a little girl. Now I live in Richmond, VA, but I bring my family here for two weeks every summer. My children Camden (14) and Raegan (12) love to swim, fish and Kayak in the lake. They play badminton and whiffle ball on the lawn and, at night, roast marshmallows over the bonfire in the fire pit. Their time at the Pink Cottage is consistently the highlight of their year. I am so pleased to be able to share this special place with my children. If you decide to visit, I know it will find a lasting place in your heart.
