The Alfama River Apartments consist of 4 apartments in the same building. The 2 described here are both two bedroom apartments, recently renovated and lovingly restored in 2010. They both form part of a traditional building in the historic Alfama district in the heart of central Lisbon, located next to the Santa Apolonia Metro/Train station for convenient transport facilities. Nestled amongst the cobbled streets, picturesque squares and traditional Fado restaurants of the charming Alfama district, ample natural light enters from the balconies, illuminating the wooden beams and historic azulejo Portuguese tiles, to create a fresh and clean and interior, which mixes both traditional and modern styles. Both apartments have spacious living rooms, double beds in each bedroom, and can comfortably sleep up to 6 guests. We offer free broadband Wifi Internet, and all mod-cons such as cable TV, washing machine, dish-washer and air-conditioning. Towels and sheets are provided.

Main features: 2 bedroom with double beds, 1 double sofa-bed in living room, free Internet (both wi-fi and cable), cable TV channels, views over the river and of Alfama's streets, central location close to major transport facilities. This self-catering property is one of 4, because we own and rent the 1st to 4th floor apartments also. These apartments may all be rented together if you have a large group. The building is located right next to the traditional Alfama district, and is literally just 2 minutes walk from the Santa Apolonia Metro & Train Station, where there is a convenient supermarket. This apartment has been recently renovated in 2010 and offers clean, modern accommodation with a traditional feel. Free wi-fi Internet is available, plus many other modern facilities such as cable TV with several English language programs.

Excelente semana en Lisboa!

Hemos estado varios amigos pasando una semana en la casa Alfama III en lisboa en agosto. La casa está estupenda y con mucho encanto. Roger, el propietario, siempre ha estado atento a todas nuestras cuestiones y hace que todo el proceso de reserva y llegada sea muy sencillo!. La ubicación es muy buena siendo bastante fácil incluso aparcar(en otras zonas es muy difícil) y Lisboa se recorre facilmente andando. El piso está igual que en las fotos de la web, limpio, soleado y con todo lo que puedas necesitar(incluso internet wifi a velocidad de vértigo!). Dos recomendaciones para comer o tomarse una copa: el bar que hay justo abajo, lo lleva Fernando un español muy simpático que te recomendará las mejores playas(éste bar nos lo recomendó Roger) y luego en la rua do jardim de tabaco(la calle que está enfrente del apartamento) el restaurante "a murhala" (o algo así) que se come mmmmmm!!!!!! impresionante!!(está como a mitad de la calle). Seguro que volveremos si pasamos por Lisboa nuevamente!!

Just a short walk to major sights such as the National Pantheon - where the famous fado singer Amalia Rodrigues is buried - and which is just round the corner, the Fado Museum, Lisbon Castle and Lisbon Cathedral, together with the central squares of Rossio and Praça do Comércio, and the wonderful 'miradouros' (viewpoints) of Alfama, like the Portas do Sol, and Miradouro Santa Luzia. This area has plenty of cafeterias, bars, traditional fado restaurants, as well as the small village-type shops typical of Alfama. In the Santa Apolonia station just 150 meters away there is a 'Pingo Doce' supermarket and just opposite the station there is a Chemist's (pharmacy). On the opposite side of the main road, next to the river, there is a large open-air car park which charges approx. 5 Euro per day.

The bathroom is directly accessible from the main bedroom, and has a separate entrance for the second bedroom and living room. Towels are provided, as is a hair-dryer, shower gel, hand-soap and toilet rolls. Instant hot-water is provided by a large capacity water-heater.

There are bedside tables, reading lights and we provide all bed linen, pillows & pillow cases and a duvet/eiderdown.
